Good morning. The oak trees stand out this morning as they are about the only ones that are still totally green. Quite a few others were turning yesterday and now almost all have taken on a tinge of brown. None have yet turned enough to be picturesque, looks about as attractive as my welding table with a heavy dew when I've forgotten to wipe down after grinding.

Drew, my Subaru came with a 5 year transmission warranty when I bought it. CVT's don't sound quite as as nice as auto boxes of old, but they are great for fuel efficiency. For the last couple of months my 2 litre engine has been drinking petrol at a rate of 45 mpg on motorways (speed limit 70mph). In US gallons that would be 37 mpg.


Kyle, not heard of a fishizzle tractor ride before. Was it really taking off the FEL that made it so good - I reckon more likely it was the lady sharing your tractor seat

Lord no! Redskins, and whoever the Cowboys are playing. Alabama in college football because my parents are from there and were big fans. I was a Jeff Gordon fan after Petty retired, before NASCAR became a joke.
I’m a Tar Heel, therefore I root for them in NCAA basketball.

Eric, 37mpg is really good, and if I were paying double what I am paying now ($2.69 reg/$3.39 93 oct) I wouldn't have gotten the six in the Outback vs the four. I only got about 26mpg combined on that. Audi now getting high 27's and improving slowly but it requires premium. Thankfully the little store around the corner sells non ethanol premium, which Audi Service quietly recommended. Truck gets 15mpg and doesn't get driven much.
Glad your warranty was long from the beginning. Today we seem to expect zero maintenance transmissions, not always the case.
Not like we'd leave the hydraulic oil in our tractors forever...
I'm guessing the service interval for changing the fluid in most modern automatic/cvt transmissions is in the 50k to 100k mile range.
I bet a lot of it gets forgotten. At 100k miles there are usually a few things to do that aren't cheap. Like timing chains and ?

A friend of mine was lamenting how her car was treating her so badly, so expensive to run, as she had to replace the tires and brakes.
She really thought they would last 100k miles at least. And the only reason she gets the oil changed is that she got free oil changes for life when buying her Nissan. She needs a sticker on the inside of windshield right in front of her.
She also needs a new car with a long warranty and at least some safety tech.
I should take her end of year car shopping.
This is where she needs to bring along a no no no guy with her to the F&I office.

8pm Last night shine the side field counted 9 deer different sizes having dinner. :thumbsup:
Might blow some leaves after work depends which way the wind blowing.
E muffin feed critters slow roll to work.

Coffee needs to be poured. 58° with for this morning. Heading to 80° with cloudy skies. Got all 3 building cleaned up and tools put away. Plus got last of yard ornaments picked up and put away for the winter. Need another Sams Club trip today. Take the diesel cans with me and fill them.

I was never a front runner, same favorite teams most of my life. I remember when Dallas joined the league, but Washington was our home team, as it were.

66-82 today, about the same through Thursday, then 61-69 for a week.

When you live close to Detroit. You have only one of each sport to select from. Lions, they did beat Packer yesterday. Tigers, still memories of 68. Wings, think Gordie Howe. Pistons, not a basketball fan. But we do have some fairly good college teams. NASCAR, Jimmy Johnson. After yesterday maybe I need a new driver to cheer for.

Who else has favorite teams to cheer for.

Ron I have not followed NASCAR in a long time I know the names though and should have said that before it had more to do with Ford vs Chevy for me. I now enjoy Formula One racing every once in a while. You folks do have a lot of good college teams

We usually do take her with us for leisurely walks but when we walk for exercise it does not leave time for her nose stucks and freezes.

If I take the boat off the ledge it will not help but if I put something in the boat that she cannot step on, that will fix that escape route.

Ron not really a "Fan". Growing up in Houston in the 60's-90's did not have any winning teams and lost interest real fast, like fishing. Race cars just go round and round and crash so it gets boring also. Now with the teams getting political I really don't want to watch them.
