About 32 right now, around 35 today. The Cleveland weather guy has moved my area out of the worst of white Armageddon that everyone else is predicting for tomorrow. Hope he is right. But the snow thrower is ready regardless.

Back from the quick trip to Chicago to do training.....today I have the joy of having warranty work done to a root canal......

Everyone take care and have a good day.

Good morning! 45 ˚F heading to the 70s. The pic above was the neighborhood excitement of the day yesterday for those not on a tractor. They raised the water tower starting at 8am. The main street was full of spectators lining the road and on golf carts. At 4PM it was still on it's snail crawl to the top the spectators had dwindled to zero.

Today is a trailblazer day and I need to assemble a bench that came in the mail for the back door. Also there is more attic work to do. The cool down will come Saturday morning.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 29° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 31° with some late day snow. Never made it to dog show. Stayed home and relaxed. Did get a dusting of snow. PT this morning. I call Fridays torture day. If I show improvement in motion from last Friday they add new activities. Then HF, Menards and Sams Club visits.

Don, glad you got use of tractor. How many people do you have to share it with? Now you need a greenhouse to get your plants started in.
How many people did it take to repair rail beside you and Mr Moss. One of my favorite jokes with my job after customer told me they had been using a hammer to repair a part of our machines. Was not the hammer blow. But the knowledge of where to hit it. Mr Moss gets all the credit.

Jay, prayers for your recovery.

Prayers for all those in need.

Good Morning All.

good morning all.
Warm weather for next few days, then Sunday night temps really drop.
going to take it easy today and go to lunch with friends.
Fireman neighbor and helper coming to work on my ditch today.
I can't help with that, but tomorrow my Hispanic helper comes and we work on getting the vegetable garden ready.
Cabbage gets planted Feb 1 and will have row covers for inevitable freezes. Kale and Spinach soon thereafter

Left ear still feel overfull and my tinnitus remains. Guess it's going to take time.
Prayers for everyone to mend and feel better from injuries and operations.

Be super careful in the snow, we sure have enough examples here to remind us it's not just the other guy who falls...

Good morning, a light dusting of snow just starting here too.

It was freezing all last night, perfect timing as I was running out of low down hay, so this morning I was up before first light to get a few more bales down while the mud was stiff. Each year I promise myself I will get more rubble spread in front of the hay barn and each year I forget about it once feeding time is over.

Oh no Jay, that must be so frustrating. Only consolation must be that if you can't get far, there is no better time to be inside than on a cold winter's day.

That is quite a 'shop you have Rick, not just light but spacious, clean and tidy too. I think that's the first time I've felt simultaneously envious and ashamed.:)

Don, Understand your elation at now being able to ride anything, however there is more to being a Tractor Daddy than a promise of unlimited supplies of lithium grease to every tractor on site that wants you to take them out. We know you would be caring with each one you take to your (raised) bed, however, at your time in life especially, maybe it's best to be faithful to a single machine, instead of lubing everything in sight.

Good Morning!!!! 48F @ 4:45AM. Considerable cloudiness with occasional rain showers. High 52F. Winds ESE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%.

That garden plot looks well tended, Don, but how you gonna get that Deere up there to rototill it?:confused2:

Gosh, Jay. Hope you get good news at the ortho next week and Brogen behaves himself during your recuperation. Maybe think about a nice set of padded motorcycle leathers to wear next ice season, and a helmet wouldn't be a bad idea, either.:D

Doesn't sound like those other two deer were hungry enough, Thomas.

Interesting trip to town yesterday. Butler guy was helpful and he'll be out next week to do a site survey. He didn't seem to knowledgeable about the fire safety of the buildings, though, so I'm hoping he can put me in touch with someone at Butler. Insurance agent did his homework and after we reviewed my list of lost/damaged items he filed a claim. Hopefully I'll get a visit from the adjustor next week, too. Excellent pulled pork sandwich for lunch at Mom's in Chico, then a visit to my buddy at his motorcycle customizing shop. An old family friend had asked him for help moving her deceased husband's motorcycles out of the burn area that was their home, and we took a quick trip there to see what we'd need. Three old /2 BMWs, similar to the blue one I rebuilt last year, sat amid the rubble, burnt to a crisp. The aluminum engine and transmission housings had melted leaving behind the iron cylinders, crank, and gears, spokes had pulled through aluminum hubs to leave the bikes on the ground so they no longer roll. It's a job for muscle and mechanical leverage, and I think a come along and some long steel bars will play a role...

Noticed I lost another tree to the wind along the driveway; this one also splintered the trunk about six feet up from the root ball. If we don't get too much rain today, I'll take another walk around the property to see what else blew away, or landed here from somewhere else. Also if it stays dry, I'll get started on replacing the clutch master cylinder on the Vanagon. I did find a tiny bit of water on the drivers floor boards after the last storm, so whatever was leaking is still leaking. Might have to pull the dash again to see if I can find where it's wet under there.

TGIF gang!:drink:
