Good morning!!!!

54 degrees this morning, going for a high of a sunny 71. We had a rainy forecast for this past weekend, and finally late yesterday I got about .14" of rain. We were under a severe weather warning for a good while, but it all happened just a little bit north and east of us. Apparently, lots of hail damage in Frisco but fortunately for us, none here. I'm just waiting for it to get light enough outside for me to have a go at applying a fresh coast of Sherwin-Williams SuperDeck to our patio.

At 4:11 this morning I told you guys the temperature was -4 F. I just looked at the thermometer and it is now -10 °F. Somehow I don't think it will get up to freezing today. The good thing is that the bugs were starting to hatch out, not now. They are all frozen to death.

Good Morning!!!! 55F @ 5:30AM. Periods of rain. High 56F. Winds SE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall near a half an inch.

It was a nice day yesterday, but I didn't make it over to check on the neighbor and his bum leg. I texted him mid morning, but didn't get a reply until after dinner. Said it's painful, and he's on meds that make him sleep a lot, so I'll just leave him be until I hear from him again. He's in good hands with a wife and kid to look after him.

I did get the oil drained from the transaxle on the van, but got a nasty surprise when I pulled the drain plug. First, I had to also remove the right header pipe to even get at the plug, which also involved unbolting a muffler bracket. The big surprise came when the plug came out: The magnet on the plug had broken off but fortunately it was still stuck to the plug. Murphy is still alive and well on this project.:confused2:

Took a little time to straighten up around the garage, moving the big touring bike out of the work area and bringing the G/S dual sport onto the lift for some carb work and a bit of other unfinished business.

Spent the rest of the day driving the little chainsaw, getting four smaller trees bucked and stacked. After three tanks, both the saw and i were out of gas, and the setting sun had disappeared behind the clouds, so it was time to quit. But Murphy wasn't quite done for the day, as the front propeller shaft coupler fell apart on the Kubota side-by-side, causing quite the banging and clanging under the chassis. It turns out that whatever Kubota used to support the center driveline coupler had disintegrated, leaving enough wobble for the front coupler to disengage. It's raining today, so I'll be on the computer digging through parts diagrams trying to figure out what to order. I also seem to remember something about an upgrade kit Kubota sells to make sure the problem doesn't happen again. I bet there's a thread right here on TBN with all the details.

Hope Murphy takes the day off...

It was 15° this morning. Yesterday wasn't as nice as they said it would be. End up with snow showers on and off all day, maybe 2 inches. They are calling for sunny skies and a high in the low 40's for today.

Making a trip down to Park City UT today to be with a friend, has wife is having shoulder surgery this morning. It will be a all day trip.

Hope everyone has a good start to the week.
CWB.

It's 68°F this morning and forecast is for 80°F with 20% chance of rain.

Today's plans, are on hold as I have been called for Jury Duty, this morning, at our County Court House. I received a "called off" the three previous times I've had jury duty. I'm actually looking forward to seeing the inside of our recently refurbished court house. It had a total renovation, completed about 4 years ago.

I did finish spraying my perimeter fence lines yesterday with Glyphosate / surfactant.

Hope everyone has an excellent week.

Prayers to all.

Pretty courthouse!
I’ve been called to jury duty three times in 12 years, but I know and have done business with so many of the lawyers and judges and their families, that I never get empaneled. One female judge got so frustrated with me that she made me sit through a trial in the back if the courtroom.

Sorry that happened to you, Randy. Don't get me started on holier-than-thou judges. They all put their pants on the same way you and I do, and some need to be reminded that they can be recalled just like a rotten politician.:muttering:

Have you found any politicians that are not rotten? :D
There aren't any that aren't rotten up here in Canada.

I got called for jury duty 3 times. 1 Federal and 2 county. Took 3 days to say they did not want me at Federal trial. Sat through 6 days of trial to be selected as alternate. Other county trail got settled before jury selection started. Since I am over 70. No more requests.
I want to help. But all the backdoor stuff that goes on. Makes most of serving a waste of my time.

Claye- I wish you safe travels, having a decent time with your friend, and your friend's wife having a + outcome with the surgery.

Rick- That's a nice looking courthouse Goos luck with the jury duty.

I can usually avoid jury duty due to my human service work with victims of violence. One of my worst jury duty experiences was as jury foreman of a hung jury. An entitled rich kid with his high priced sleaze bag Beantown attorney convinced 2 Grandmother type ladies of reasonable doubt of the DUI charge even with a failed sobriety road test report and a station video of the visibly drunk kid getting booked. I was too embarrassed to look those PO's in the eye. :embarrassed::(
