Good Morning!!!! 49F @ 6:15AM. Cloudy with showers. Thunder possible. High 61F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50%.

When I was bringing in fill dirt and road base here, Kyle, I looked for a rental dump truck to take advantage of those low prices, too. But I was cautioned that they're very easy to overload weight wise, and the local cops love to pull uninformed drivers over and write them very expensive tickets. Besides, one tandem transfer truck will bring in 20 tons a trip, and I needed a lot of dirt and gravel at the time.

Laid up another half dozen sound deadening panels yesterday, spending the glue drying time clearing bench space and paying bills. It must have been exhausting work because the nap after lunch felt great.:laughing: The last few days of clouds and rain had brought the temperature in the house down low enough I lit the wood stove at dinner time; first fire in more than a month. Enjoyed standing in the fan driven warmed air. Probably do some variation of that again today.

The low this morning was 30°. Yesterday was about like the forecast said it would be. It was partly cloudy with a few showers and windy with a high in the mid 50's. Today is supposed to be the best day of the next five days. A 20% chance of showers with a high in the low 50's and some wind. The forecast shows highs in the upper 30's in the middle of the week with rain and snow showers.

My wife just told me it's are wedding anniversary, oops. You would think I would remember after 40 years. She said she still likes me. I'll see what she wants to do today.

I don't see why the country folks would not like them. The group has a banjo, gittar and a fiddle. Got the laid back country beat. What is not to like?

I believe they had a Hawaiian steel guitar too.

According to Wiki, it says that Nashville didn't like those long hairs recording country music, that they might have done it to satire their industry. But the Byrds had added Parsons, who was a country star to do the album. They didn't get along real well and Parsons split after the project. It was noted as the first crossover rock to country album released.

Good morning to all! Low of 40, up to 70 today, supposed to be cloudy all day but no real chance of rain. Wind is apparently going start back up this afternoon and continue throughout tomorrow.

Clay, you better take the wifey to someplace really special! Congrats on 40 years together!

back from shopping, have no energy, might take a nap. Then a little bit of mowing this afternoon out by the road, clover is back with all the white flowers.
Even though I mowed it five days ago, the guy next to me mowed his roadside down to about an inch, sure likes grass low, so it makes my part look like a jungle.

someone threw an entire pack of cigarettes out one at a time along the roadside, then the empty box. Pretty evenly spaced. Trying to imagine the motivation...
Box I pick up, cigarettes I mow. Maybe not if they are filters. All that plastic everywhere...

Good Morning Everyone!!!!

A mixed sun/cloud 44º for today’s low; a showery 58ºF presently; and I anticipate a mostly sunny afternoon with temperatures in the low 70ºF’s after a cluster of fairly strong storm cells passes. Plan for today- garden prep, bird counting, and napping once I hear the BoSox sportscasters.

Thomas- Congratulations on your successful bridge replacement,

Drew- Good luck with the dosing tweaks, and I hope your hand/arm continues to heal.

Buppies- I hope your surgery heals quickly, My continued + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Ted- My first year with this tiller I needed to chain the PTO driveshaft female slipring overrunning clutch coupling to a tree to pull it off the male PTO stub on the NH when detaching the tiller. Fortunately that has never happened since. That driveshaft was a “universal” fit when I bought that tiller. I had to cut that shaft 3 times before I got it to fit correctly on the NH.

Thomas- I ended up using DEET yesterday despite how it messes with my lungs because of the Blackflies and those freakin' ticks.. I do not know why I have this reaction. I pulled 5 ticks off me yesterday after walking Brogen and messing around outside. The black flies were not too bad in the rain this AM walking the dog and I pulled 3 ticks off me afterwards. After this rain those black flies will be active. I need to find my bugnet headgear before I go outside.
