I’ve never found anything to work on no see ems.

Randy, the Amazon reviews for that Picardian based lotion seem to indicate it works on chiggers and no see ems, too. Works a treat on the mosquitos out here, and doesn't leave a sticky, stinky mess on my skin.

41 °F and going to a high of 61. Wind E 8 mph. Rain.

I've got two batteries that were frozen to go to the hazmat dump this fine wet A.M. Along with the tarp I laid down to catch the drips from the permethryn.
I keep a couple of NFG batteries around to use for a core charge which is $20.oo each this year.
Other than the dump run, I am conserving energy today.

Have a good day all

Good morning all,

44 this morning and sunny, no wind. There are lots of clouds around but it's sunny right now and I'm enjoying it. :)

I'll test the ground in front of the house, if it's not to muddy I might try to dig out a parking area with my new PTB.

Prayers for all, I hope you each have a great day.

The low was 34° this morning. Yesterday was partly cloudy with mixed showers in the afternoon with a high was in the low 50's. Today will be in the low 60's with another chance of showers in the afternoon.

The trip to town was about the only thing that I got done yesterday. I offered to help a neighbor replace his dishwasher today. He has back problems and it hard for him to get up and down. So that's the plan for today.

Hope everyone has a great first day of a long weekend.
CWB.

I got a small stock of core charge batteries also, fortunately remembered to take one the last time.

Mens breakfast at church this morning, then a costco run. Got the wrong plates, salad instead of dinner...

Wife went thru freezer, tossed a bunch of frozen strawberries from 2003. Those were some we grew ourselves. She just left to go pick some.

Should do something, i guess.

69°F and .04 inches rain.
Plan is to remove last bit of concrete and get trench down to depth. Wx may become a factor or not. Haven’t had my coffee yet.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good late morning. It was 72°F earlier and forecast is for 90°F this afternoon.

Had to go to a board meeting this morning so got little done other than that.

Wife and I are heading into town for lunch at a local family owned drive-in that has great hamburgers.

I will probably start chopping wild flowers in another pasture this afternoon.

I cleaned up a downed dead tree behind the dam on one of our tanks yesterday.

Hope everyone has a productive day and weekend.

Prayers to all.

While I was out I got more high test ethanol free gas for the ridem mower and the walk behind....$1.609/L ($6.08/US gallon). I just about had a heart attack at that price!

Checking in this PM on a beautiful sunny day that started out at a sunny 40ºF this AM. A hazy sunny afternoon that has probably topped off at 69ºF. A successful day w/o the knee brace; my first. I picked 12 ticks off Brogen after this AM walk. Once they bite him they're gonna die, but they like to travel in their death throes. After the dump run I finally finished weeding and mulching the hummingbird garden.

We saw "A Dog's Purpose yesterday PM. We liked the movie; we liked the first. We went to the Texas Roadhouse for the "early bird". Wife likes those portion sizes. I should, but do not. They open early and the food and drinks are consistent.

Now I know why Brogen stood up on his hind legs yesterday at the slider. Our bird counting days may be over in the near future.

Randy- A Happy Birthday for your son. I wish him many more in health and happiness.

Drew- Nice looking veggies. A lot of you have producing gardens and I have not even tilled the garden. I am not alone around here, The nurseries really had a bad year for starts and 6 packs due to the extended cold weather. A lot of the nursery plants are really leggy. Our chives are doing well

Eric- Thanks for sharing the ragwort picture, It is a pretty weed.

RonJH- Nice bumblebee/flower picture. Thanks for sharing.

Don- Nice flowers for the community to enjoy.

"... Hope everyone enjoys their Memorial Day weekend, and remembers the fallen that gave all to preserve the way of life we all enjoy."- RNG. Every day should be a Memorial Day. I hope your next weekend's weather is drier than predicted.

Bill- For all the aggravation caused by ethanol laced gasoline the price may be worth it.

lovely memorial service this afternoon for man who met his wife at age 16 and were a couple ever since. I am incredibly envious of that, sure wasn't my path though I did my best. She and I became friends ten years ago, didn't know her husband well, but he had a huge turnout. The result of which the social hall where refreshments and food were afterwards was packed and so noisy I had to leave.
Lot of hugs, lot of good friends, some for all my life.

No plans for tonight, even though first wife found out I was in town, and a few minutes ago emailed me asking me out to a free Ponderosa steakhouse dinner. I appreciatively declined, need to stay in quiet hotel room and stop buzzing in my ears.

Since I don't have cable at home, might see what HBO or whatever has on tonight. Will probably be asleep early, dull boy.

That is what I do and why I do it when I am on the road and sick of the truck. 10 minutes laying on the bed watching the boob toob and I'm usually sleeping.

85° is a little too warm for spreading mulch today. Tomorrow's 73° will be better. So wife and I drove into town to pet store. Bought couple dozen Comet Gold Fish. After letting them get acclimated to water temperatures. Let them go into pond. Last I looked they were swimming around in their new habitat.

Good evening all. 74F this morning, windy, partly overcast. Clouds cleared off, wind came up more(forecast for 12-18), and high temp of 88F. Bike ride this morning, had 8 riders for most of the ride. Had lunch then mowed the front yard. Shower then nap, I think I finally caught up on liquids. Got mu tube patched yesterday after picking up a nail earlier this week. Have trip to STL area later next week and 5 day bike ride on Katy trail state park mid-June.
