Good Morning!!!! 68F @ 6:45AM. Sunshine and clouds mixed. High 91F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Tragic news, Lynn. Sorry for your loss.

Doesn't sound like that hawk has figured out how best to utilize the tactical advantage given him by his wings, Wng. He'll either get it, or grow some whopping big drum sticks!

Sounds like that pipeline would upset enough people to trigger a class action lawsuit, Don. But first make sure it isn't a communication problem before jumping to any conclusions. I went through many such fire drills with my elderly parents.

First "Pom", now "cock-relation". No wonder they say that Australia and the US are two nations separated by a common language, Jim!

More digging on the agenda for today, made some good progress yesterday.

63°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 90° today. As of now, no rain in the forecast until next Monday.

I always enjoy hearing or reading the different words and phrase that make "English" such an entertaining language. One forum I frequent is about 90% Australians and New Zealanders. I find myself using Google quite a bit when I'm there.

Sad news about your nephew, Lynn.

Nope, I contacted the RR commission myself and got a copy of the permit "Common Carrier" the key legal words. Any class action is an exercise in futility and a lawyer to get rich easy and end results the same on this 500 mile line. All environmental requirements have been met, this is not California. From all us in Texas, Your welcome, for doing our part in keeping US oil independent and gas prices low. Construction starts in 3 months. They are in almost daily contact with me.

Found out last night my nephew took his life. He was going through an ugly/prolonged divorce, I guess it was more than he could deal with. Sure wish he had reached out to someone before taking that final step.

My childhood neighbor did the same two years ago. It is the hardest on the parents. Our prayers to your family.

A foggy 56ºF for today’s low temperature before the rain started.. A rainy 67ºF presently. It might get to a rainy low 70ºF’s later with possible T-storms. Doppler radar is showing some strong returns coming this way.

We arrived back home yesterday and I picked up Brogen this AM. This weekend we will be going to the Adirondack Mountains for a landowner(s) trust stockholders’ meeting. All this traveling is starting to get ”old.”

Lynn- I am sorry to read about your Nephew. My + thoughts, prayers, and wishes for his family and friends. May he RIP.

“….. always hard to understand things like that.”- Ted. Individuals seriously considering suicide rarely give "strong" evidence of their true intensions. I hope this injection brings some relief to Mr. Knee. Good luck.

The prevalence of suicide is more widespread than we want to talk about, and Lynn I'm sorry you lost a family member.
Youngest son in my second marriage, the one who used to jump in my arms every night when I came through the door, well last Fall
he OD'd in his bedroom at age 28. I haven't seen him in a long time, feel very sad this was how his promising life turned out.
Maybe it's because of the ease of getting drugs capable of doing this,
maybe we just aren't recognizing and treating depression and related mental
illness fast enough.

local farmer planting in field behind me, what a whine this rig made, seriously loud hydraulic whine I swear you could hear miles away. I was wondering
if all his pumps were happy. He kept going so guess it was normal.

So take me to school and teach me how that could be, Rick.

Seems like the only way current could flow through your meter is if there was continuity through the wiring harness back to the positive terminal, regardless of whether or not one or more cells were internally shorted.:confused2:

A Battery Tender won't keep up with a 3.6 amp drain; at least the ones I have won't. And expecting to cram 200 amp/hours back into a battery in just an hour seems pretty optimistic; wouldn't that rate of charge damage the battery? I hope you did find the problem, but I would run a load test on that battery in a few days just to make sure.

I was puzzled by the 3.6 amp drain, as well RNG. I had disconnected the negative battery cable to charge the battery. This was before I determined that Interstate battery was bad. The current drain I measured, all made perfect sense as the cause of the "dead" battery.

For clarification, the 200 amp charger / starter also has a 40 amp and 2 amp charge mode. I used the 200 amp only to get the car started so, I could move it into the shop.

I charged the disconnected battery, the rest of the day and overnight @ 2 amp rate , and next day, the battery still wouldn't start the car. That's when I hooked my battery tester to it and determined I had a second bad battery. I removed the battery, took it to town and swapped it for the AC Delco. I'd forgotten about the current drain I'd originally measured, until I was installing the AC Delco battery, last Friday. So, I connected the positive cable then connected my digital multimeter in the ammeter mode and measured zero current drain between the negative terminal and negative cable.

Now, four days later the Corvette still starts fine, I moved it this morning. Could I still have some intermittent issue? Yep but, till it surfaces again, no way to be sure.

I do need to test the ammeter mode on my multimeter as this was the first time to measure DC current with it. I'd always used my old Simpson 260 with an amp probe.
