A cool 60 this morning, low 80s later then several more days in the 90s, I’m about done with hot and humid.
I hope everyone has a great day, Drew, you gotta slow down, you make us all look bad! I’m going to attempt to start the tractor with the spray rig on it and spray some weeds and mostly my driveway. It hasn’t been run since mid July. Battery is dead in the Monte Carlo again, I’ve got to get able to tend this stuff or it’s going to drive me nuts! Prayers for y’all.

Lots of activity, like PT creates lots of nerve pain later. This seems to be getting worse.

Pain is better this morning. Time to take my nerve pain meds.

Received more paperwork to fill out from cigna for my ST Disability to get extended. Need to tell them why i cant work, as if i havent already done that.

Good morning! 76˚F heading to 82˚F while doing the Fire Wise clearing this morning and then up to 94˚F with clouds this afternoon. A cool day is any day that stays under 98˚F.

Lucky at cards last night, five for five, should move up off of 10th place in the quarterly rankings ending Sept. 30th.

Got the seeds for the fall garden, kale, carrots, beets, broccoli, and a few others, time to plant the garden.

The okra and eggplants are still producing. Okra has 20% more usable calcium than cows milk cup for cup.

Drew should just be starting out on his journey to get get his Drewmobile.

Buckeye, continue to get better and Ron get that seat time. LS you gave that knee a very long time to heal so I hope the decision for replacement is easy. Randy the maintenance required or downsize question always lingers.

Good Morning. It's 74° here and 94% humidity. The high is for set to be 95°. We got 1/2" of rain yesterday afternoon so ..... I'd like 1" today, at 3 p.m. and 1 1/2" tomorrow at 3 p.m.

I'm hoping to get some less dusty mowing done this morning.

Drew ....safe travels to go get your new 5 Star on wheels.

Randy .....do you use a battery charger / maintainer on your Monte Carlo?

LS .... any update on the schedule for your replacement?

Astros ..... 36 runs in two days. Save some for October!

Need to pour first cup of coffee. 59° with a few clouds this morning. Heading to 85° with mostly cloudy skies. Cleaning lady this morning. Then friends from out of town for lunch. Still working on getting items in closets and rooms sorted out.

Don, no seat time until Saturday at the earliest. To many other things on the list. I did get to run hand over tractor hood yesterday as I passed by it to get some boxes out of barn. :cloud9:

Agreed, To much added oils. Good spiced beans and quinoa are much better as a protein replacement for the cholesterol and saturated fat in animal products.

Didnt think about amazon for food, been ordering everything else from them. I replaced a toilet seat, new power supply for a security cam, new oil plug for the subaru.

Randy, if it turns out that your battery maintainer let you down, I've been using Battery Savers now for more than a year without issue. There's one on the fire truck now...

WNG, nectar consumption is on the rise here, so maybe the migration south has started. I put out 3 gallons the morning I left on the trip, and all were empty four days later when I returned.

Swede's Flat, about twenty miles southeast of here, caught fire again over the weekend, but this time was held to 400 acres. That area seems to burn at least once each season, and the steep terrain makes it really tough to fight. Another far larger fire (44,000 acres) that also started over the weekend northeast of here in the Plumas National Forest is only 7% contained. Three additional victims of the Camp Fire were positively identified, bringing the total to 84. Two bodies from Concow still remain unidentified, bringing the death toll from that fire to 86.

Last night, a man rolled a pickup truck on the four lane concrete bridge across the West Branch of the Feather River just south of here. The pickup went one way, he the other, over the bridge to the rocks below. He was severely injured, and was taken by boat to a helipad, and then via life flight to a local hospital.

Filled in the last of the excavations for the sprinkler system yesterday morning while it was still cool, and today I'll probably make a start on clearing the rest of the fire debris. First, if the winds remain calm, I'll spray some weeds. Spent the rest of the day fiddling with the red bike, correcting a couple minor issues. Also ordered a new rear tire in a slightly wider size that I hope gives better mileage. I don't think the problem is with the tire as much as it is with my right wrist, though.:laughing:

One of the fellas that organizes the Airhead campout over the New Year weekend down at Anza-Borrego is also a beer home brewer. He usually brings at least two five gallon kegs each year, and this time around he's asked me to pick a recipe that he'll use to make one of them. He's also offered to get me started brewing, and that might be just the excuse to run down to SoCal and help him make it.:drink:
