Steppenwolfe, I think my Stanley thermos still has hot coffee in it from 10 years ago. Stays hot for a long time.

My Dad always liked the hot weather and hated the cold weather living in Texas and Oklahoma. When he finally bought a car that was equipped with air-conditioning, he just almost never turned it on; didn't have air-conditioning in the house or his business. So I was really surprised when he and Mother decided to move to Alaska. I did know that he's always liked to hunt and fish. But one day when we happened to be talking about thermos bottles, he said his favorite was the Stanley. He said, "Anything that can keep my coffee hot overnight in a tent when it's below zero degrees out is the one I like." I just could not imagine my Dad spending the night in a tent in cold weather.

regular gas was 1.75 downtown this morning.
Any time gas goes that low, must be problems elsewhere.
Old saying what is good for Exxon Mobil is good for the U.S.

Granted gas prices are affected by Russia vs Saudis, but prices were getting lower
even before that.

My vehicles and equipment have full tanks, my fridge and freezer are full, thankful for what I have.
And don't have...

Amen to that Drew. 50 and cloudy here this morning. They say we may get to mid 60's today with a bit of sun, but no evidence of that yet. I hope that all stay safe and healthy this week.

42°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 66° today.

Lots of rain on and off again on Saturday, and a few rumblers passed through, but most of the severe stuff missed us either to the south or the north. Some folks got some nasty weather over the weekend. Saw one report that said 17 confirmed tornadoes. A friend's daughter lives in Jonesboro and had some damage, but nothing too serious.

Sunday would have been a glorious day to do some much-needed leaf herding, as The Wife and I had planned. However, in addition to it being mostly sunny and 65°, the wind was blowing at a steady 20-25mph, and gusting even higher. I did get all the mowers out and running. Still need to change oil and sharpen blades, but we can at least get the tall weeds and onion grass managed this week, provided that the weather cooperates and we get some firmer ground.

Spent the rest of the day tweaking guitar tones in the studio, while The Wife worked on a quilt project for her ex-SIL. Didn't hate that one bit.

Ron, I'm the kind of guy who can eat eggs every day for a week, then I'm done with them for awhile. I've never been a big fan of eggs, but I like them. Since we've had chickens, though, I've probably eaten more eggs in the last two years than I have in the previous 20 years. The Wife is pretty good at finding new recipes to keep things fresh. We were joking the other day that if all else fails, we at least have eggs (and chickens) for protein.

RNG, I remember like it was yesterday going to the (long gone) Washington Theater in downtown Granite City IL to see the Sgt. Peppers movie. A strange and bizarre movie, even in the '70s. I was too young to be sneaking in alcohol, though.

Welcome to the GM thread, polarred21.

Rick, I need a better dust collection system for my shop. Craftsman vacuum does not do as good a job. Table saw, metal cutoff saw and 14" wood bandsaw are on roller bases. Others are way to heavy for any kind of roller bases. 20 ton press is in a storage area that has lots of room around it. All my tractor attachments have some type of easy to roll around wheels on them.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.
I looked into mobile bases but have found that a HF 18" X 12" HARDWOOD MOVER'S DOLLY, rated at 1,000 lbs is an excellent substitute. I've been placing and fastening them under almost everything. I've a 6' work table zip tied on top of one and roll it around the shop easily. I've a KK 5' tiller (700 lb) that's been sitting on a pair for years and just slid it around yesterday. At $8 @ they can't be beat.

An interesting band of*T-storms rolled through here last evening; pretty intense for Spring storms. A drizzly, foggy 34ºF for today's low temperature;*a drizzly, foggy 35ºF presently, and I expect more of the same with possible showers and temperatures in th low 40ºF's later today. *And maybe some snow showers tonight. I was able to walk the lower field this AM w/o too much complaining from Mr. Buttcheek. Thanks to last night’s T-storm cells the subsurface springs in my lower field are openly flowing*and my*wet area*at the base of my hill is now a pond this AM. *Within a week's time I went from needing crampons to mucking boots*yesterday. *The dog is making the most of the last of the remaining snow around here. Later today I plan to call the butcher/smokehouse down the road to see if he is open, still has food available, and if he does the SOP for transacting a purchase. I am not happy about it, but I broke down yesterday and purchased dried beans through Amazon with hopefully delivery mid week. The prices were inflated, but obviously acceptable. Just in time for my birthday…..

I deal with life here on TBN/GM; but C-19 discussion goes somewhere else. I do not need to waste my time typing and energy dealing with other's ego, testosterone, politicalization, and disrespectful personal attacks.

RonJH- I am happy to read about your BIL, and thanks for the pictures.

I have not seen a bear around the house since Brogen chased and treed a big one last Fall. I have been very inconsistent about bringing in and/or locking up the bird food and feeders lately….. It’s only a matter of time before some bear shows up.

“… My vehicles and equipment have full tanks, my fridge and freezer are full, thankful for what I have.
And don't have…”- Drew. Fortunately, I/We am in the same place.

My +thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Small world. We go to Perkasie quite often. Wifey and I went to DVC in Doylestown. We go back several times a year. Beautiful place.

In Doylestown , during normal times, a couple of times a month. Friends have businesses there.

Now 63-72 later they say, then a cool rest of the week.
Not a lot planned but you never know what one might end up doing. Wishing you all a good and safe day. Prayers.

64°F and 1.42 inches rain.

One last run at taxes this morning before filing. Basically a sanity check as Turbo Tax not reporting any errors as it stands will be getting a Fed refund instead of writing a check 🤙. Nothing to State either.

Will be joining another virtual Happy Hour via Zoom this afternoon. Good way for friends to check in in these trying days.

As CV testing expands so do the numbers. Up to 12 on our island. Word is 1 of them is our usual UPS driver.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
