Good morning, a lovely sunshine filled day ahead here, no higher than 17C/63F, but that will do nicely for April.

Rick, Ron - did it feel like cheating when you first used your electric pole saws ?

Mine is still ...

Kyle, what a great sketch.

If she likes "Street Art", then maybe she will appreciate two pics I have just seen, painted by Rachel List (with permission) outside now empty pubs in Pontefract, in praise of the work done by the people working for our National Health Service.

Good morning! 50 now, only supposed to get to 53 today with some rain.

Yesterday was amazing. High 64, but felt a lot warmer. Not a cloud in the sky. We got a lot of spring yard clean up started. Cleared a patch of Russian Olive off the bank. Got a fence line of it that is going to take some time to get cleared.

Got a fair amount of tractor time. Driveway needed some serious TLC on the lower part. The box blade and grading blade got a work out. Looks vastly better now.

Everyone stay safe out there

Chilly morning, going from 38 to 70 today in sunshine.
Other than watering the flowers this morning, not much planned for today.
Might take the Gravely garden tractor down to far side of property and mow the roadsides there.
Also might wash the car, never got to it yesterday.
Trying to get outdoor tasks done in one batch, so I can come in and shower to get all the pollen off me.

Buckeye, prayers for sister and husband.
Toppop, take it easy and hope they get you normalized.

Covid 19 count up to 7 for Beaufort County. Seems to be going up by one or two each day.

41 outside this AM. Heading to lower 70's. Yesterday was just yard work. The relocation of the tiger lillies turned into an all day job.

Eric....I do the same manual thing. LOL.

Kyle...daughter has talent. Fear the turtle. UMCP.

BEF....continuing prayers for your family.

Randy....hope you get yourself well.

Have a good day all. Be safe.

coffee has been poured. 37° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 55° with some sun in afternoon. Not sure what to get done. It is chilly and damp outside today. May be a good day to finish installing check valve on top link cylinder. Then get grapple bucket on tractor when it warms up.
Michigan now has a site to see how Corvid-19 is affecting the state.
Young squirrel checking out what food I put out.

Randy, hope they get meds straightened out.

Eric, I have a couple of poles saws like yours. Had a gas powered trimmer for years. Switched to electric a couple of years ago when my arm would not let me start it anymore.

Buckeye, special prayers sent for Sister and BIL.

Kyle, your daughters drawings are fantastic.

David, carport looks good. Great finished project.

Mostly, do you make up for skipped days riding the next day?

RNG, nice mixer. Wish I had a project to use one on. Pads are looking good.

Rick, always willing to passing on info that helps. I have a box of HF snaprings. I need to check if it contains one that will fit saw. I ordered a bottle of Wet and Forget yesterday.

LS, hope your knee holds up until you can get it repaired.

Hawkeye, I have used a bunch of antivirus programs over the years. Norton comes with my internet provider. But I do not like it. My latest computer from Costco came with a year of Mcafee. So far I like it. Renewal is yearly. But I bought 2 years for about $5 a month.

Everyone be safe and healthy.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

Good Morning!!!! 49F @ 5:45AM. Rain. High around 55F. Winds SSE at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall around a half an inch. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.

Your daughter's art is great, Kyle, and making memories with the camera is special, too.

Porridge Power! It's how I start every day, Eric. Are you a milk or a water porridge person? Microwave or stove top? Do you put anything like fruit in it? I've got a buddy that puts so many adulterants in his you hardly know it started out as old fashioned oats.

Another inside day. Not sure what I'll do, it's an opportunity rich environment. I should start making space in the garage for the electrical panels and other components from the solar power setup, but I haven't quite worked out yet where all that stuff is going to move to. Probably the shipping container, for now at least.:confused3:

Been watching YouTube videos this morning already, as I've used up most of my daytime data cap earlier this month restoring one of the laptops and configuring the new iPad Mini. But I'm pretty sure I've been mixing my concrete too dry, and that's why I'm having trouble getting a nice finish. So I also ordered a slump cone to test the mix next time. And to fix what I've already done, I'm thinking about putting a self leveling coating over it, which seems pretty easy to do. The concrete patio across the front of the house is cracked in several places, and could benefit from the same treatment.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend!

Was 39 when I went out at dawn. Should see 71 today and maybe a shower tonight.

Eric, most coffees improve with 24 to 48 hours rest after roasting, some, like dry process Ethiopia coffees, often improve up to a week later. Tell your daughter how much I enjoy her art.

David, congrats on a great job on your carport. You deserve a rest day.

Prayers said for you sister and her husband, BEF.

Mostly, Red Lobster biscuits are great. I tried making blueberry cobbler in the Instant Pot yesterday. Total failure. I used a recipe from the free Tractor Supply magazine from a couple of months ago, written for a slow cooker...so tried slow cooker mode on the IP, but never got the flour cooked all the way through. Recipe said 1.5 to 2 hours, I even let the IP go 8 hours, until bedtime when I turned it off.

Measured off a hiking route on our property to use as an alternative to going to the nearby park, if needed. Used a handheld GPS and feel good about the distance. Lots of things beginning to bloom now, from the dogwoods to the azaleas to apples. Pear tree is still in bloom and the pink lady slippers are emerging in the forest.

Got an email from Amazon...sounds like the toilet paper vendor from whom I ordered has been kicked off and is probably a fake seller...reviews were good, so just goes to show you can't trust good reviews, or even bad ones which I sometimes suspect are also faked. Hoping the hoarding has slowed, and the things that were sold out last week will be in stock this week.

Bef, prayers for your family. Thanks for sharing. Also praying for all the medical staffs, lawmen, and emt on the front lines.

Peas porridge hot
Peas porridge cold
Peas porridge in the pot
Nine days old. (I despise peas)

Love oatmeal.

Thanks for the warm niceties for my daughter. Weird thing is, she doesn't like compliments. It is getting harder and harder to get her to draw, although I haven't tried bribery. :). The rain took care of the art.

Sodamo passing the concrete crown. To bad we don't have a community mixer that gets passed along.

About to have online church.

Prayers for all.

Did you use the highest heat setting in the slow cook mode? I've had chili scorch using it, but don't know what kind of heat a cobbler would need to properly cook.:confused3:

Nice thought, Kyle, but shipping on the PTO mounted mixer was amounting to some $350. You can rent a mixer locally for a lot less than that. In fact, if I end up selling mine, I'd be very lucky to get half that much for it.:confused2:

Good morning to all! Low of 36 at 06:00, going up to 65 today, light breezes.

I was able to do the next little bed in the front, got the drip line run, and the bed mulched. Transplanted a few shrubs into bigger containers but did not get them placed. Today will be to finish up those beds.

The neighbor came over and asked if I could grease his trailer axles, as he is leaving this morning to go pick up his new tractor down in Spicewood Tx. While I was greasing, he asked if I would go over tomorrow and dig a hole for his girlfriends potbellied pig. It is going to be put down tomorrow afternoon. She is really upset, she has had him since 5 weeks old, now 13 years old and in failing health. He was neat (for a pig), played one of those kiddie pianos to get treats, would roll over, and a few other tricks. It will be hard for her to say goodbye. He reminded me of the pig on the show Green Acres... Arnold.

Kyle, your daughter has some talent for sure! You must be proud of her.

RNG, I did not go as far as finding out the shipping cost on the mixer. It would be nice to have, but I could get a lot of concrete delivered for the cost.....
there is a quarry near by that just started selling concrete using the “ you haul it “ trailers. I do not think their prices are too bad... $125 for 1 yard, $145 for 1.25 yds. I think I will try them first.

BEF, I hope your sister and BIL get over the virus soon without any more hospitalization.

Well, going to go get started, times a wastin....

A mostly cloudy 44ºF for today's low; presently 50ºF and mostly cloudy; and I expect a mostly cloudy afternoon with high temperature in the mid50ºF's.

Kyle- Your Daughter’s artistic abilities continue to impress me. Thanks for sharing.

David- Congratulations on another project completed. You deserve some R&R and some refreshing libations at Happy Hour.

BEF- I am sorry to read about your BIL and Sister and even worse the fear/hysteria driven mob thought and mob action through social media. I will not be surprised to see increasing news reports of people doing crazy $h!t.

Bruce- Brogen was not feeling well yesterday. He’s better today.

Eric- Thanks for sharing the local street art.

RonJH- I look forward to your almost daily wildlife/outdoor pictures.

Ted- I am sorry to read about your neighbor’s GF’s pet pig. When we first moved here there was a local pig called Suzy who had free rein of the town. She was an orange soda addict. She would literally suck those bottles empty. She was a full sized hog.

I hope that everyone is having a decent Sunday.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

/ Good morning!!!! #109,620
Jay, I had always thought that pot bellied pigs stayed small.... not true... Toby (the pig) weighs around 250 lbs. Not as big as a true hog, but still big.
