Is there an easy way to find my first post on this thread? I scrolled through the first 75 pages already with no luck.
There used to be a "Search This Thread" function at the top of each page on the old system. Not sure how that works now.

Don't forget it's also the most important information in the whole wide world. It determines everything from our next power outage to the cars we will be driving 10 years from now to the cab or no cab tractor decisions and is the excuse/reason billions and billions of dollars are spent each year.

And weather is perhaps the one most common thing we share, regardless how variable. If often drives our daily activity. We can relate.

much to report.
you know when someone says they're not running on all cylinders?
Well...half an hour after I left my brother's home in Markham VA, just after I turned North
on Route 15 which goes North to Gettysburg and the PA turnpike, I got behind a single super slow
poke in a long passing lane with no one else on the road. So around I go and while I didn't rev limiter the engine,
I did wind it out as you do when flooring it to get around someone and back in the safe lane as quickly as possible.
Car didn't pass well at all and the motor started shaking like mad. Lovely.
But I'm sort of out in the middle of nowhere, much less an audi dealer, so I decided to press on. There were no leaks and temp
was fine, just ran terribly and shook like mad at lower rpms.

There are a lot of hills on that route and on every one I had to manually downshift to keep up with traffic, thank goodness for paddles,
and drove that car like a manual for four hours until almost home and what do I drive right past on route 611?
The local Audi dealer in Warrington.

In I go and what a nice experience. Instead of what I thought it was, a broken motor mount, he mentioned a failed spark plug coil and that the engine was likely running
on three cylinders. That explains a lot.
I was not about to take that huge black piece of plastic off the motor to see what I could see, which was likely little or nothing, and then you have to refit
the plastic. If you haven't broken any of those plastic fasteners they use. So I figure no user serviceable parts in there and get to a dealer.
And this wasn't the dealer I bought the car from either, but they were doing their best to impress, and sent me home with a brand new same model car I had
as a free loaner.

We complain a lot about car dealers, and rightfully. Not today thankfully. Here I am, I haven't even bought an oil change from them yet since I moved here, and they are giving
me a free loaner. And to make this all more ridiculous the little suv was packed full of boxes of family pictures and small paintings I was getting out of my
brother's basement. And they helped me move the boxes too. I need to take them some donuts...

Slept poorly last night, tossed and turned in overly soft bed. Shoulder still bothering me. Waiting for mri dept to call back to schedule. Ah, they just did, next Monday.

2.05 inches of rain here Popgadget, no wonder it's muddy. Your comment had me looking at my weather station and it had reset to 0. But when I pressed week it had the rain in memory.
This is not a sophisticated one like several of you have.

some marvelous pictures posted here, all those ax handles caught my eye. Thanks for posting

maybe a nap

but curiosity demands I go out and check on the potatoes...
onion sets came in the mail, will plant them this weekend.

I think most dealerships try to do right by their customers, Drew. Unfortunately, they are staffed with people, and people don't always do the right thing if they think they don't have to. Glad this one helped you out.

Today was a day of firsts:

1. Sighted the first bluebird of the year.

2. Saw the first daffodils in bloom:

Nice flowers RS. You've really worked hard to make your place look nice.
Saw a lot of blooming daffodils in Virginia, but not here yet.
They are still growing.

Ron, that was LOT quicker than getting the wrong one installed.
So what is your stand on AHS now?

I will give them another try. Owner of contractor company was on site today. Said AHS response on my furnace was not normal. Especially ordering 3 wrong furnaces. Person at AHS may be looking for a new job. They also gave me a coupon for a free service call in the future. That covers the extra gas I used to heat house. Hope nothing breaks in near future.
I called to complain last Tuesday. 9 days to get new Furnace and install is more like response should be.

Not very easy, but I used the Search tool. Criteria were my user name (RedNeckGeek) and Rural Living as the forum name. I also set an "older than" date. Took several tries, adjusting the date one year newer from when I first signed on to TBN each time. Then there it was, a little three liner on 11/17/15, on page 2920. Kyle responded, asking what elevation the photo I posted was taken at...

Thanks Ron.
I was starting from the first post in this thread. It was on my page 400 on my computer. I was actually responding to one of your pics back then, a Texas Longhorn cap that wasn't.

Got the four bluebird houses brought down to the house and washed out. Two put back up just as it started to sprinkle, hopefully do the other two here in a bit (once the rain quits)

Also got the fifth one - which is new - put up in the blueberry bed down here at the house:

Recycle tote taken around back and hosed out and then put in the garage. Since they don't seem to want it back, even after providing us with the large container on wheels, we'll use it to collect the recyclables down here at the house and ferry them up to the road.

The Woman made lasagna for dinner. I thought it was good ... she wasn't impressed with it.

Time for some sheetcake I think.
