26° right now...high, about 30 or so. We did get snow, but only about ¼" accumulation. Still flurries coming down, but I don't expect any more accumulation.
Reckon I'll hit the deck and walks with a broom. Reckon it's time to put the driveway markers out too.
Margeaux's first snow...very excited puppy!! And, a very wet puppy when she came in. We keep a towel close by and she loves getting the rubdown (don't we all?)

Very sorry to read about your father-in-law passing, PJ...my condolences

Drinking first cup of hot coffee. 24° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 31° with snow. That accumulate to 3" by end of day. Got Christmas tree out of storage and into house yesterday. But today's forecast got me to get snow equipment out and ready for the winter. Still need to put snow blade on tractor and grease front end loader. Did get parts for pole rack on Mule. But they were delivered late. May get to that today. Will also start putting up Christmas tree.
Thought all these birds had gone south by this time of year.

Everyone stay healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

good morning all

interesting last night to see xmas lights flickering on and off in my bedroom...my photoelectric switch for the outside lights doesn't come until Monday and the
lights now run all night long. All leds so no issues on consumption, and my other neighbor who was first out with lights leaves his on all day long.
I'm going to have to tidy up some of those lights, all this wind has blown a lot of things around.

had the most marvelous hot turkey sandwich for dinner last night, with stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce just oozing out. Yum. No giblets in the gravy; seems current
generation doesn't even know what giblets are. Certainly makes for a richer gravy...

Cold morning but at least sunny. Great convergence of genius and talent this morning, and sure not talking about me...Ken and Paul/Popgadget are coming over this morning
to see if my garden shed is buildable (I honestly think not; have zero confidence in Rubbermaid at this point)
And then, like Ron, need to get my snowblower working. Stay tuned for an update, will try to get a pic of all three of us. Rogue's gallery...:)
We may get something accomplished, or nothing...but will be fun to see the guys. Have some bags of local apples to send my helpers
home with. I pay in apples.

PJ, very sorry about your FIL.
hope you all have a nice weekend.

24 going to 47. At least the wind will simmer down, now.

PJ, sorry to hear your wife's dad passed away. Prayers for your family.

Roy, congrats on the snow!

Raccoons took two feeders down, couldn't figure how to get into one of them...sometimes I have trouble, too, when refilling. 😁

Took it easy yesterday and watched a Randolph Scott movie with a young Angie Dickenson and young James Garner.

Back to the trails today to work off that extra serving of sweet potatoes.

Interesting question. the Boeing building is measured in cubic feet and the Tesla building is measured in square feet floor space to obtain the title of the worlds largest building.

My very liberal sister, in California no less, poked fun at me for flying the flag in December. She thinks flying the US flag
is only a conservative or Republican ideal. Boy is she wrong. And I had to gently set her straight:
No jokes about the flag please.

Your Father risked his life for that flag.

Sadly politicians tarnish it, but the flag stands for what is best in us.

It’s not Trumpism or Republican to fly the flag. It’s patriotic. And your Mother was born

On the Fourth of July.

And the best part to me is the Christmas lights now give the flag some light at night.
One only has to watch a flag being folded carefully and handed to the widow of a service person to realize how much symbolism is there.

My job is to love my sister, not to agree with her politics. She's smart, she'll figure it out.
Time to get moving.

look at that snow. Coming to many of us soon. Maybe flurries tomorrow here.

Yep, you got a heck of a lot more than we did...ended up with about ½"
Not enough for the snow blowers, but I'll hit the walks with a shovel and the drive with the front blade.

Good morning! 47˚F only heading to 50, light rain.
PJ sorry for the loss of your father-in-law.

Drew you can always trade in your snow blower for an electric one like Roy's and not have starting problems.

Gray2 is getting better. He is walking around more and eating more. He went from 9 pounds to 6.6 pounds, hopefully we can get his weight back up. The appetite stimulant drug the vet prescribed is Mirataz. That and his antibody treatment yesterday for the kidney infection may just give him another life of his allotted 9.

Good morning, low is -2nd the high will be 16°F. Wind NW 6 mph. A mix if sun and cloud.

Sorry for your loss, PJ.

It is too cold to work outside, so I will probably conserve energy today. Dump run tomorrow IF it warms up a little.

Have a safe day all

Don, if it doesn't start this morning, yes it's going back to dealer, tell them to sell it and I'll buy an EGO or something similar.

   / Good morning!!!! #141,678

not looking good for California. Support your local police for sure. And get them all out on patrol.

Good morning! 24 now, supposed to get to 36 today. It is sunny and calm now.

Condolences on the loss of your FIL PJ.

Got into a lot of different little things yesterday. Was satisfying just getting some things accomplished, even if not memorable!

We typically have a 2nd “Thanksgiving” at home after being with family for Thanksgiving. Getting ready to start the smoker to do a turkey today for us.

One year ago today was just a tough day. Fever, cough, no appetite, little sleep, lack of energyOtherwise…..I really don’t remember much this Saturday a year ago.

Everyone take care and safe out there

Don't know about trading, but having had a gas powered snow blower (used), I'd never have another one. Like Drew, the SOB made me use foul language almost every time I used it.
Granted, the gas blower could plow through a heavier snow (>6" with no problem) than the EGO blower I bought 3-4 years ago. But the newer EGO blowers have a better auger and can be self-propelled....and, about the same price as a self-propelled gas blower.

I do hope Gray2 continues improving...not a cat guy, but I love most all critters...including the 4 squirrels running around the front yard right now
