52F and clear @ 21:45, high temp hit 64F today. Headed down to 41F overnight.
Last two boxes of white worms tended and fed first thing.
Got air filter blown out and foam pre filter oiled and installed and then put it back in the Cub.
Then I put out the orange half for the oriole:
Looks like we have some volunteer wildflowers around the base of that maple. Not sure what they are, but we'll take them.
Checked mealworm feeder out front, half of the 30 mealworms I put in there yesterday were gone ...
Pulled out small veggies plants from the garage and watered those with the little hand sprayer.
Spent most of the day up in the shop.
Some cleaning done.
Got new handle installed on a square-nose shovel with rivet.
Got the head for the Craftsman bow rake removed from what was left of the old wood handle. That took quite a while, drilling, chiseling, etc.
Sharpened The Woman's Cutco Pruners and a 1/4" spade bit.
Was a comfy 80F in there when I left to come back down to the house.
Washed up a vase and then went out back and clipped five tulips for The Woman, four dark red and one medium red:
Really liking the dark red ones.
UPS had dropped off her new string trimmer, so I went ahead and assembled that and put the batteries on to charge.
Mowed most of the east side down here around the house.
Started doing the dishes and some kitchen clean up, got most of the dishes done.
About that time I gave Her a call and found out She was about to head for the barn. Told Her that I had used half her orange for the oriole. She said be sure to have your camera ready next time he shows up.
Wasn't but a couple of minutes after we got off the phone, guess who showed up on the suet feeder out the kitchen window:
Evidently found the orange half I put out too - it was rotated 90 degrees on the screw I had placed it on next time I looked out there.
All in all a fairly decent day.
Hope everyone had a great Saturday ...
