Good morning!

God has given us another chance at getting it right(or at least not screwing up too badly…).

Currently 29.1F, just added more wood to the stove, might hit upper 30s today.

so, after work, had to drop off some stuff to my mother’s. Now, we had been discussing getting a second dog after we finished tax season work, and it would probably be a German Shephers (because Mrs. loves the breed and has had several in the past) but she found on the FB of the local shelter a cute 3yo mix she ”just wanted to see and maybe if nobody takes her by time we are ready we can.” Well, there are two shelters: the County shelter and the Humane Society shelter, and they are about a half-mile apart, and she didn’t remember which one and so I drove to the nearer one and it was the wrong shelter.

but since we were there. . .

ANYWHO - LSS:

We are now in a mad scramble to find a boarding/training school for a 12-week-old Redbone puppy (picking up next Saturday) or else we are going to have to split our workdays so that someone is home all day until we get the housebreaking and basic training done.

And we never made it up to the woodlot yesterday.

And our Bailey knows something is up — boy, is she in for a surprise! But she will get to have a playmate (our Sandy was not a very friendly dog, but at least was another presence in the house while we were out and about). And she - and us as well - will get plenty of exercise, which won’t hurt, either.

I have to do a SERIOUS house-cleaning and pick up all the breakables and edibles (or at least chewables) that I can this week. And another bin for puppy food, and wee wee pads, and … and... and…

I hope everyone has a safe healthy happy blessed day!

Enjoy the puppy days. They grow up way to fast.

Prayers for a neighbor one road over. He was turning and a vehicle passed and struck him, just down from my house. I don’t know him, heard he had back injuries.

I’m on hiatus from TBN due to a certain moderator, but wanted to share this.
Looks nasty...speedy recovery for your neighbor.

Snagglepuss kept dad mellow. ;)

28° in Denton, Tx this morning but going for a high of a sunny 53° with some reason to hope that this is the last freeze of the season.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

There's been some posts here about the medication, Paxlovid. Well, I was one sick puppy when I took it and it worked great for me; with no side effects that I know of. I'd had an appointment to go in this coming Wednesday, but early yesterday morning, I called and cancelled it; don't need anything. But then while I was out yesterday, my wife said the nurse called and they'd like to see me, so I called back and the lady who answered the phone reinstated the appointment for me.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

28 outside this AM, Heading to lower 40's.

Need to feed the wood stove today.

Yesterday was spent delivering the weasel cage to the rescue. The lady has a super nice place that she rehabs and releases wild life on. While we were there for drop-off, two adopters came for weasels. Never knew that pet had such a following. The ladies basement, over 2000 square feet was dedicated to animal rescue. I'd say she loves what she is doing. Good for her. She also coordinates movements of animals, nation wide.

After the drop off, we stopped in at a family friends restaurant for a quick bite and spent too much time there because the food was so good.

I did manage to find time to cut the last of the window trim in the Milk House. I hope to start skimming the walls, sometime today.

Have a blessed day all. Be safe. Drew...safe travels. Don and wife, hope you all are getting better.

31 and windy again. But blue bird skies, and sun coming up.

That's a terrible accident BEF. Prayers for your neighbor.

Thomas, you might need to shut a bank vault door rather than a valve. 😁 ☃️❄️

Rip, only seen 1 weasel here in 3 and a half decades...I guess that's by design...crafty little guys.

Kilroy, congrats on lining up the new Redbone. (Come and Get Your Love)

Excelled at puttering yesterday, but I did manage to scratch 5 things off my to-do list...of course, added about 10.

Good morning! 32˚F heading to the 60s as the wind shifts today from North to South.

The window Co. finally replaced Mom's broken house window and the insurance paid for it with no deductible. I can cross that off my list.

The Farm has been texting, I'll take another covid test later to see If I can restart tomorrow. I haven't had any fever for a few days, just a lingering cough. Wife still has fever.

Drew enjoy your los viajes (travels) in your la casa rodante (RV).

Bird, I found that Paxlovid worked great for me also

Drew, wish you safe travels. Carrying your own bathroom is priceless

Worked great for me as well. I actually don’t know anyone that took it that had a bad result. I know plenty of people that didn’t take it though.

Good Morning
It was 23 when Zoe woke me up this morning.
IMG_1720.jpg

Yesterday was a long trip to Ohio. 122kts of wind on the nose, smooth ride at altitude, but very rough down low. Quick ride home though.
I got some speaker work done before I left, but not much when I got back.

Today, it’s Zoe and me, wife is at a farmers market.

At nearly 5 months her puppy teeth are mostly gone, fortunately she hasn’t been a chewer, very little destruction. She has a very “soft” mouth and will carry things around without hurting them. She does like to play keep away with contraband, but overall we don’t regret adding a puppy to the house.

...
Using a mortar and additional acrylic mixture. In some areas I still have original mesh showing...in others just holes...and lastly where the doors were....plywood and framing. I experimented a long while ago and this mix held up over a years worth of seasonal cycling. No cracks or loss of bond. Once primed and painted should match the original wall textures just fine. Fingers crossed.

Morning all, 27 going up to 41. Windy and sunny
Took in all the driveway markers, at least one is missing and a few broken by delivery trucks.

Went down to Lambertville for our dog walk since it was such a nice day.
Too windy again for spraying or anything out in the woods.

Safe travels Drew.
Nasty accident BEF, Hope neighbor recovers quick. I never let the mods bother me, everyone has a different opinion, maybe I will get banned one day, but I try not to worry or get aggravated.

Glad to here people on the mend.

Was going to rake today, but think I would be fighting the wind too much.

Be well,

God Morning
Did some weed abatement and mowing yesterday. SO much rain in CA this year - weeds and grass growing like crazy. Can't get across the creek yet to mow the bottom field. More rain this week. Reminds me of year when the mustard was up to the tractor hood before we got in there to cut. Need to get in there before the weeds go to seed. Safe to say our local water table is up significantly. Unfortunately all of this green turns brown in the summer becoming a real fire hazard so it has to be cut.

Good morning! Low of 16°, heading for 43°. Sunny, light breezes. Tomorrow, chances of light snow early morning then rain showers. Maybe switching back to snow tomorrow night.

Drew, enjoy the trip! Front Royale is a pretty area.

Mostly, sorry you had to ride in circles around the lake.... and still put up with wind. sorry to hear about the water problem.

Ron, hope you get the pressure tank switched out without any difficulty.

Rip, sounds like plain ole masonry stucco. Should match nicely.

Ken, nice pic of the canal. Do they still do the tourist canal boat rides?

Scootr, yeah, that grass is growing for sure! We have a couple of small green 'clumps'.... everything else is still brown.

Don, good to hear you're feeling a bit better. Hopefully the Mrs. too!

Kilroy, congrats on the new addition! I am still on the fence about getting another pup / companion for Max. If I could afford it, I'd have kennels set up for all the abandoned neglected pups.... Breaks my heart to go to the shelters and see those eyes.....

Probably another inside day. Snow is melting off nicely, but that causes mud.... I don't like playing in mud.... (you wouldn't be able to convince my mother though)....

Everyone have a great day!

21°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 40° today. 70° again by Thursday, but again it's coming with a price ... more rain and storms.

Not as windy today, so I might try to get out and do some burning after it warms a bit this afternoon. Enjoying a nice, steaming cup of hot chocolate this morning.

Got half of the sonata transcribed yesterday, and should get the rest done today.

Wife and her friend got the quilt top finished yesterday, and will be adding a border this morning, then quilting and closing it. Looks like they'll get it done in two days after all.

Have a safe and enjoyable trip, Drew.

Hoping for a speedy recovery for your neighbor, BEF.
And, a speedy return of your posting here.

Good morning, gents.
