19 going to 41.

Sodamo, glad Sophie's eye is better.

LS, did you find it? (the end?)

The ads on this site are getting bad for me...now overlaying some of the posts.

Had to take my wife back to the doctor yesterday to redo the bandage...plus, had something to return to Costco...great return policy, but the line was kinda long...so had pizza there, and did another "exploration" of the store...getting a little hiking done indoors, I guess. Picked up Turbo Tax so that makes the New Year official.

Well, that kept me from splitting firewood, so today's the day, although my splitter hates to start in cold weather.

Don’t know what you posted but this is what I am seeing…

It seems like every weather service has a different forecast and it changes every time we look at it. Snowblower is in the barn. Should I go get it or not?

Chris
Yes 😁

Trying to make sense of this;
would never work in a building that is accessible to much of the public?

If I am reading this correctly you would not work in a building that is open to everyone?
Like every person that works in any retail establishment does?
Ok, maybe my career working in public buildings in inner-city decay have made me cynical… especially seeing how some people cannot properly navigate between floors on the @##&& STAIRS….

32 going to 38...freezing rain and then just rain, they say.

Scootr...P365(y).

Ron, awesome photo of the dove ice skating.

Saw a pair of big military planes flying low over our house yesterday. They made 7 laps, always doing their turns back north right over us. I got a good look during a couple of turns, but didn't have my phone, and then was in the woods working on firewood, and never a clear shot for a pic. They were loud, appeared to be faster than I expected, and I could feel them. Seems like they could make sharp turns, too. I'll try to post a couple of pix, and maybe someone can tell what they are.
We have a KC135 that has a regular training route over our little stretch of Appalachia. Always flies low over US64 where the AT crosses.

Kilroy, if the nutrients of walnuts goes with that syrup,
very good for you. Looks like a fun process.

interesting new eco solution for packing peanuts.
they really do fully dissolve under running water, I tried it and
within seconds it was gone.

now get them to never be able to leave the box when they inevitably spill out

first 2024 batch of walnut syrup is done!

the yellow magnet on the pot shows the (approximate) starting point, the two-cup measure is the final product:

It is actually a little thick, final Brix 71%. It shouldn’t crystallize. . . I hope. . .

do any of them have a scope?
red dot pointer?
gps guided bullets? ;)

for target practice something small is fine
most of this stuff seems to be a buck a bullet or more

Good morning! Started out at 34˚F now 48˚ heading to the upper 50s with a North breeze, cloudless skies.

Yesterday, after warming up my knee at the fitness center, was the first time I mowed the yard since knee replacement. It went well, no pain but some minor swelling afterwards.

This afternoon, when it gets to the upper 50s, I will try another first - Pickleball, very cautiously.

Those biodegradable peanuts have been around for over a decade, they are essentially un-cheesed Cheese a doodles with an agent to make them unpalatable to critters.

the ORIGINAL original biodegradable packing products were Excelsior wood wool and actual popcorn.
