Good morning!!!!

Morning all! 29 going to sunny 36.

Looks like I have the same issue as Buckeye! Cold/Hot, night sweats, runny nose, cough, sore lungs, tired, tired..tired! Been laying down all day and night. Only up to eat, fill the stove or bathroom! Today is finally better enough to feel like doing something!

Got lucky that weather has been nice. Only the one storm the other day that I left on the ground. Most of it is melted now. Still waiting on impellor for snow blower!

Haven't even been to the shop to see if it's ok. Maybe tomorrow after I go get my license renewed. Might have to get the wife to take me. Just can't seem to concentrate correctly! Weirdest flu bug I've ever had. That will teach me to not go shopping again! Can't get sick if you stay away from people.

That's it for now.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Helo, they charge by the gallon here, but it also calculates the weight and prints that on slip.
3.99 a gallon. 3.49 at bulk gas distributor, long drive
guess I'll keep supporting Tractor Supply
Next year will get big bottles the propane company can come out and fill at lower cost.
Am thinking two 100 pounders ganged together, maybe they have to be 120's.
that seems to be the "pro" size.
This all has to be temporary so I can remove it.

all packed, killing time before I get to TSC. They open at 8am, I'll be there shortly thereafter.
At least one can sit in a warm car until they come out.

greenhouse looks much better now, lot of the jumbled plants coming back, have another completed flat
of up potted plants ready to go in, but will wait til I get home.

had too many Burpee bush beans so I put some in a small baggie and will take
them for my friend's garden in DE. They love to grow beans.
I also am taking them a tiny pot of newly hatched pink impatiens

we are headed out somewhere nice for dinner tonight.
Nice to hear you have not lost your optimism on greenhouse (y)

To me selling gas on volume is pure fraud.
Volume depends soo much on temperature and pressure.
I guess, that's more a market "tradition"

Helo you should report the Tesla parts fiasco on the EV Thread here on TBN. The parts and service availability are a concern of many.
Frankly, I have dual feelings on this.

I know it's bold statement, but from business POV existence of Baltic states have no sense. Latvija is 1.800.000 people. It's like block in NY or SF 😁 Consider "buying power" and it will come even worse

So Tesla motors inc doesnt consider necessity to open here service centre. How can I blame them ? Their goal is to make money for shareholders not boost confidence for "small but proud" <tm> nation 😁

From another hand I found Tesla shortsighted somehow. Other car brands are selling some EV's here. Somehow Tesla is being sold too. but their results could be much better if they had even micro-tiny cheap-ass service shop here.

Last year here have been sold 160 new Teslas
That grants for Tesla third place. And that's without official service shop 🤯
Leader was VW with 230 cars and Nissan made 200 registrations of EV
But consider that Tesla is outselling VW in Germany

Here are few "grey" Tesla service shops. But as I have found (in hard way) they all have issues with spare parts availability. OK, no problem with body works and even something complex can be fixed - guys are smart and well trained. But if parts are on short supply Tesla is prioritizing their own shops.
Even if I don't like that, from business POV they are not wrong

Really a lot of mixed emotions 😁

Got the groceries picked up and put away.

Have had the ScanGauge for many years in the van. Many read outs for parameters and able to read engine codes on the road. Believe that I can send it in and get it reprogrammed to the latest capability. Although it does what I want

In the early years of the van parts for upgrades were not much available in the USA. Found a parts guy at a dealer in EU that shipped to me directly and since it is exported the usual 25 percent tax was not charged

Now Zion is no dummy. When cold he knows where the hot air comes from.

48F and sunny @ 13:30, heading up to around 50F for the days high. Woo Hoo !

Woman had doctors appointment yesterday, came home with 3 referrals to specialists. Seems like maybe She's starting to take her health and aging a little more serious ... which is a welcome change ... (y)

The guy up at Discount Tire had called and left a message saying that the new tires were in so after She got home I gave him a call and set up an appointment for 17:00 to get those put on.

Grabbed a shower right after that and then after I got dressed we headed to have the tires put on.

Have to say that I was very happy with the service and the way we were taken care of. They got us right in and got the new tires installed and got a $30 credit per tire for the reduced tread life on the old ones.

Looks like we caught it just in time: one of the front tires had the cords exposed on the inner edge. Glad we made it there without a blowout.

Had them throw on a new set of wiper blades while they were at it.

Was nice to be able to get out of there for less than $400 ... (y)

Woman very happy with how the car drove after that, taking both Her hands off the wheel on the backroads to demonstrate how straight it was tracking ...

On the way home we took Route 3 and the back roads initially and drove down through Seville to Creston to check out a (Mennonite ?) butcher shop another member had mentioned.

After getting a bead on where that was we headed over to Route 94 and came back up north to a little Mexican restaurant we had discovered some years ago that we really liked.

We had taken Her brother there back when he was driving big trucks so it was kind of in memory of him.

The place was jam-packed last night, with a 15 minute wait to be seated. And the food was outstanding as ever.

Back on Monday, I got the hopper and 2 tube feeders refilled, plus a gallon of whole corn put in the deer feeder.

Then got the buckets containing the old shower pan moved out of the master bedroom 1/2 bath and got the dust and small debris vacuumed up out of the shower area.

Watched a couple of YouTubes on remediation for water damage to framing and then got the threshhold framing removed so I can take up the subfloor. Looked to be a couple of Southern Yellow Pine 2 x 6's ... not in too bad a shape, but I'll go ahead and replace them since they got chewed up taking them out and no telling how high the threshold needs to be with a new pan.

Agenda for the rest of the day here will be:

1. Get this coming weeks meds doled out.

2. Take recyclables up the can at the road.

3. Get some more stuff that needs to go up to the shop taken up there and stowed away.

Plus whatever else come up.

Hope everyone is having a good Tuesday ... (y)

Got DNS kinks worked out, and my email is now working on a different platform, with my private domain name. Since my wife also uses it, I ended up having to buy a 2 person business plan. Only saving about $79, but I like this new platform. I have 2 weeks to make a decision, as bluehost ends then. right now I have it on not to renew. Only signed up for 1 month so far, but will probably go to the 2yr discount plan in a week or so. Right now everything is seamless, just use out emails like we did before. If I can get my wife to transition to the free version, rate will drop in half, as it's per user cost. Imported all the old emails, and even have gmail being autosent in.

spent most of today on this. Need to get outside and get recycle can. been coughing a bit more today.

My wife is under the weather also.

Kk here is the tractor on the trailer, ready to go to the tractor doctor. About an hour away. Just got back maybe an hour ago. (just in time to sit on the deck and watch the sunset.)

Fortunately, they said that they should get it done this week, which is a pleasant surprise. What wasn’t pleasant as the fact that they wouldn’t let me leave the trailer there, so I had to drag it all the way back here and park it in the driveway of the rental place, because my driveway has a bit of a slope, and it’s going to be very warm this week relatively speaking (like above freezing).

good morning all
did not sleep well, too much going on this morning.
I expected propane tank to run out last night which would be terminal to plants when 20 degrees
out. So every hour or two I woke up to check the temp, that got old.
this morning I am off early to fill up two tanks, then get everything watered well, as I'm leaving later this morning
for Delaware to go visit friends overnight.

these are my childhood friends who have made the trip to West Coast five times in last ten years, and have a
wonderful experience with knowing what is worth seeing and what isn't. We will log into the trip software I have
and follow my route West and back. Will be taking lots of notes.

dropped my other friends off at Trenton airport yesterday, that place is sure a pleasure compared to Philadelphia or
Newark. Of course it's about one quarter the size; almost seems odd to see such big jets there.
when I pulled up to let them off, there was only one other car there unloading.
and for sure no one blowing a whistle to tell you to keep it moving.
I'm told it only gets crowded when the planes come in.

gas prices going up again, hope I can get it a little cheaper in DE.

I can't stop yawning, guess I'll be getting my friends to make me a pot of coffee this afternoon.
Sometimes, when heading home from Trenton on the main routes was just not happening, I would do the back-pad boogie and go past Trenton Airport. Occasionally went past where the Martians landed back in 1938, too 😁

But if parts are on short supply Tesla is prioritizing their own shops.
Even if I don't like that, from business POV they are not wrong
Many vehicle brands for sale here in the US have had supply chain problems, both for vehicles and parts. If demand for the vehicles is high enough, manufacturers are prioritizing parts for building new vehicles, leaving customers that have problems with brand new vehicles waiting weeks and months for the parts needed to get their car or truck back on the road.

Some vehicles, like my RAM ProMaster van, are also caught short by a thin dealer network. Not all RAM dealers are equipped to work on the vans. I had to drive an hour to get the recent warranty work done on my ProMaster, for example.

All this said, Tesla isn't picking on Latvija any more than it's picking on areas in the US with low population densities. Folks in such areas need to adjust their expectations accordingly when it comes to service and parts. Folks like me that like to drive old cars and trucks have been making do for years with parts and service shortages, but it's unfortunate that now that has spread to even brand cars...
