Greetings Friends. I emerge from my omniscient observer role to ask an insurance question of the knowledgeable assembly.
Renewal time for our auto insurance. We keep four vehicles for the two of us to drive. Here's the info on each, semiannual fees: 1997 Ford Econoline van, liability only $393; 2002 Mazda B4000 truck, liability only $408; 2013 Ford F150 truck, full coverage $385; 2017 Ford Edge, full coverage $411.
Notice that the older ones have only liability while the newer ones include comp and collision with the liability. We keep the older ones for special purposes and they are driven less than 1000 miles annually. Can anyone tell me why they cost the same with less coverage?
We asked our agent and she says "it's just the way they are computed ." It just seems to me that they should be half the cost of the newer models.
What say the assemblage?
