Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #191,041
Well it's a bit past morning so Good Evening all;
Been several slow days for me this past month, between my wife having to go in for a valve replacement;
In TAVR, your healthcare provider uses a catheter to replace your diseased valve with a biological valve. They insert the catheter into an artery in your groin and thread it up into the heart.
She failed to see the humor when I told her I several reed valves down in the shop I was never going to use. Then it got better in her Cardiologists office when discussing the type of valve and found out they were going to use Cow tissue (bovine) and I said that we had some heart in the freezer and that if it couldn't be froze there were a couple fairly fresh ones in the compost pile.
But she is home now and doing better.
Of course mine keeps trying to act up had to go up today for another monitor to wear for two weeks after wearing one for a month just two months ago.
We had a fairly strong thunder storm come through last night and I didn't even think about till I was headed out to the Cardiologist office and the driveway was 3/4 blocked.
Took this picture when I came home, had room to drive through the shallow ditch on the uphill side and up the bank abit to get out and back in.
A fairly tall dead Elm just about 15 feet of the top in the way;
tree 5 28 2024.jpg

Didn't take long to get enough out of the way, the Harbor Freight 80Volt saw and the Branson 8050 made short work of it.
Of course after I finished and got back in the house and sitting down I "got to" push the alert button on the new monitor, whoppeee.
Everyone stay safe and get well.

That's why I try and carry a DeWalt 12" 20v chain saw in my Escape. I wouldn't try bucking up that tree but I have gone through about 20" of pine.

please share your favorite war movies, that fit for Memorial Day watching.

A few of my favs.

Saving Private Ryan
The Lost Battalion
Sargent York
Heartbreak Ridge

They had a Blue Angel documentary on Amazon Prime, my son and I watched. Turn up the surround sound!

I heard my neighbor taking their recycling can out, so got up and drug mine out also. drug, because last time they emptied it, it lost a wheel which must have gotten recycled. I have a ticket in to replace the can.
Still can't find my 300 ft tape measure. have been looking everywhere. Want to take it to the lot this week to lay out a possible cabin location. Cabin is probably still a dream. Will be camping down that way for a few days at the end of the week.
Did find a 1/4" ratchet I couldn't find the other day, left it laying on radial arm saw after working on PW (which didn't fix the problem).
Dentist appointment today, I hate those. At least I'm not going to work....:ROFLMAO:

Still can't make a new post on TBN, some other functions not working either. Looking for recommendation for a larger rotary cutter for the L5030. Mowing 100 acres with a 5 ft one is slow. I suggested an 8 ft pull behind to my brother, and my sister said NO!. I asked if she was planning to mow the fields with his riding mower. twin head pull behind uses less HP than same size single.
I found a 3/8 ratchet and pliers I was looking for.....the next day......on my unfinished riding mower. I need to finish installing that K46.

Might consider having the 100 acres shredded by a hired gun. 100 acres is a LOT to mow and take care of. Best scenario, put some cows on it or lease it to someone who will. Cows are usually easier on land than horses. Cows grab the grass and pull sideways to tear it while horses will eat it closer to the ground. Or course there are varying exceptions to every generality.

Don, do the floors need replacing, or refinishing?

Popgadget, great view of construction. Is that your little buddy down there watching you? I'm worried he might wander to go play in that hole...I'm a worry wart.

Prayers.

He sold off the cows a few yrs ago, at 100 it’s all he can do to get on tractor and mow a little. It wore him out the other day. I told him to wait and I’ll mow it. Don’t have people who want the hay.

Got the trees all planted. Going to sleep well tonight. A couple of little storms passed just by us before we could get them tied down, and the wind beat them up some more. Those poor cherry trees (in front) have had a rough few days.

Internet was down here for a little while. Apparently Starlink had some issues this evening. All better now.

Sorry to hear this. They tell men not to move out for divorce advice. I've been there. It was a bumpy road. God brought me through it, and in his time, he brought me an angel. I believe he sent her (my wifey) to get me back into church. It worked.

Coffee is brewing. 53° with rain this morning. Heading to 66° with some sun in afternoon. Did some garden pond maintainace yesterday morning. Then made sure all PTO shafts on JD mower and mower tractor were greased. Today I will sharpen blades on both of them.
What direction are we going.

55 going to 79. Yesterday was wonderful weather.

Losing stuff is such a pain. Hope you find it.

Prayers, Buppies.

Ron, I guess those two are on guard duty. Cool old birdhouse.

Finally got a chance to swap out the 3 lawnmower blades for the 3 I sharpened a couple of weeks ago. Wow, what a moldy bunch of grass clumps that had attached to the bottom of the deck last time I mowed (the dew had already fallen...big mistake). Cleaned that up nicely, and took a test mow for a couple hundred yards...I think I got these blades sharpened better than new, for once.

Today is puppy shots day...trip to vet. When we used to raise Brittany pups, I gave then all their shots, but with just one, I'd rather the vet do it and look her over. Plus, it's part of her training plan.

good morning all
looks like a nice day until thunderstorms come in around dinner time.
off early this morning to have breakfast with school board member, then tonight another
board meeting, probably my last. It will be at a board member's home in New Hope and I see minute
of appreciation on agenda. That's for me...and another fellow going off the board. I already have one from 15 years ago.

nice lady at Laura Ingalls Wilder rv park in Missouri called back and said she would be glad to make a reservation for just one night,
Labor Day. Not an easy reservation to make, most places ask for two or three night minimum over holidays.
Not only did they say fine, but the rate is like 25 bucks. I don't know how they break even at those low rates.
Even Lowes charges more to park on their pavement.
So far I'm averaging 40-45 a night. Some places are 75 if they qualify as a "resort". This trip I'm focusing more on state parks.
Have learned I don't need septic every stop. Takes me three or four days to fill up tanks. But I do want water and power.

lettuce is getting to the end, cut a baggie full to give to friend at breakfast, then later may cut rest of it.
one third of my raised garden is radishes, which have done poorly, and lettuce. So I'll be ready to clean it all out and
need to figure what else to plant there.

advertisement below is flickering and won't stop. Me?
just stopped. ??

Buppies, worrying about your wife must be hard on you. You just want her to be safe and happy.
You sure have your hands full and sounds like you need more help. We are all pulling for you.
