Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 0.7C [a bit of frost] and it's presently 12.6C, clear with a gentle breeze. Beautiful day.

Yeah, the BoM predicted a near freezing overnight but I guaranteed it occurring by giving myself a #2 haircut yesterday. 😁

That's about it, take care all.

The Ring doorbell failed it's test today and after 9 previous sessions with their support team I was rung-out. Took it back to Best Buy and got a refund. Now I'm starting all over again, any recommendation that are not Ring? Preferably battery operated video doorbell/motion detector and plug in cameras for driveway and back yard.

Drew which one did your friend recommend?

I've only seen the nonoperating Bigboy in the park in Cheyenne wy. I missed 4014 by a few days a few years ago in AR, I couldn't hang around to wait for it.

spent the evening watching deck building videos. Want to redo my deck also. For those that have composite decking, do you set a grill on it? mine over time will drip grease onto my wood deck.

Ireland declared itself neutral because after being screwed over by Britain for centuries, they certainly were NOT going to help them. They also didn't want to help Germany.
Yes, England did screw them over for centuries....and many other countries.....but they should be thankful to not be speaking German in labor camps.

Good Morning,
Vt, 66 to start going to 81 with some low clouds, but the good news is no rain ! As I understand it, Ct is getting some rain so we are in a good place today !

Plowhog, wow that thing is huge !

Thomas, prayers for you with a quick recovery ! 🙏

Don, that bird probably ate the tree rat ! 😉

Kyle, I always admired the Powermatic Planer ! I have an old Grizzly Planer 15” that does a good job but would love to own the Powematic ! Does that have the indexable carbide inserts for the cutter head ? I’m guessing that goes for a pretty penny !

Was hoping for more sun for our company but no rain and will make it work !

Buppies, sorry no sleep, hope tonite is better !

Randy, sometimes it’s good to do nothing ! I don’t seem to have that problem ! 😉

Hope all have a Good Friday ! 🙏
I believe the blades are just straight high speed steel. I got it for a song and a prayer.

Here's other stuff going to our surplus center.

Coffee is brewing. 61° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 86° with plenty of sunshine. Decided to organize wood working shop to have room for Mule in garage. Going to be easier to use mule with it's own garage door with remote door opener. Also 100' closer to house. That was enough for the day. Today I have to get grass mowed. 3 days of rain on its way.
Look both ways before crossing road.

When I was having problems with my Ring system. I found that it was my LaCroose weather station that was interfering with the network. Got rid of that weather station and no more problems. Take your phone for a walk around house while looking for available networks In settings. I am guessing something is interfering with your network. Have you tested your network with a speed test? While helping my Uncle with his network problems. Found out he was trying to hook to neighbors network. Not to his routers network.

Good morning all,
74° now highs in the upper 80’s, maybe a shower this morning mix of clouds and sun as the day goes on. Winds SW 5-10 mph dew point 71°.

Dump run this morning, water garden, really need to get some mowing done.

Lazy hummer sitting on the fence contemplating petunias.

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy

good morning all
rain was a bust, we might get some showers this morning but nowhere near what we need.
and it seems the South is about to get/stay hot and dry; that means no regular storms coming up the coast
with rain. Back to watering.

up early, slept well, planning my day
Ken is coming over this morning and we will analyze my rv a/c to see if this upgrade will work.
and for once his compensation is ready for him
four tomatoes an hour, pretty good pay

I thought of the various options on the broken rv table, and went ahead and ordered a smaller less expensive
but still solid cherry table online for 400 bucks including 100 shipping from Kansas.
It's the easiest option, will look much nicer than what is there now, and is actually better sized, little wider and a few inches less long.
it does add weight being real wood instead of the composite junk they normally use. So much fake wood...
And while the dark maple would have been the best match, I went with cherry. I want it to pop a little, I personally love to look at nice wood.
It's a gamble with the colors but solid cherry wood is hard to pass up.

need to put another mouse trap in rv. Found the paper towels stored below all munched up again. Only ones in the cabinet below the sink, so mouse did not get into rv, just up into that cabinet. Next time rv is on a lift, I need to find where those critters are getting in. No food at all in rv, just paper.

73 going to 89...cloudy, maybe some more rain...received .7 inch yesterday which is good...was hoping for the 1 to 2 inches predicted...some areas got 6 inches and flooding.

Glad I mowed Thursday, even though it was hot, the ground was damp from the small shower overnight. Sodamo, your mowing looks good, and it seems like you have potential barbeque and ribs roaming around. Does anyone harvest those pigs?

Had a plumbing problem yesterday under the house that was tough enough that I called a plumber...nice to have one in the area that could arrive in two hours.

Good morning, the low is 62 and going to a high of 82°F. Wind WSW 7 mph, increasing to 15 mph in afternoon. Sunny!

NO I wont be cutting the grass in the all together. I wont be cutting it in shorts either. Jeans and a T-shirt.

I should turn the firewood pile, too. All 3 bush cords of it. In late September or early October that will go into the basement to add to the 3 that are left over from last winter.

The furnace oil is paid for. The 200 gallon tank is almost full, and the 500 will be filled up next November and that is paid for as well.

I just have to survive the summer, so far I am doing that.

Drew, I have had good results with moth balls for deterring mice. A couple of 4 legged hunters work good too.

Have a safe day all

Enjoy your day all.

Hard to say we beat the streak of 100F days when today's forecast is for 99F. Oh well I guess you take what you can get!!

Surprising how different weather patterns are. In CA and NV, once summer sets in there is virtually zero rain until Fall. So that also means at some point you are done mowing for the season-- unless you irrigate-- too dry and risky to mow.

Rigby is growing up-- starting to look like a small dog. When I let him out at 4am he wanted to take his toy outside with him. First time he has done that. He is a faster learner than our other dogs-- he's going to make me have to learn some new tricks!

Everyone have a great day!!

good morning, 72 going to 92 and still no rain

Had Cody at the vet yesterday to check out his paw. Seems he is ok.
He checked his general health also and he got a clean bill of health.

The mini split is working however a new appointment was set up to find the leak.

One of our kids had birthday yesterday

Worked the Makita string trimmer yesterday and used up 4 batteries. It goes through the tall weeds pretty good for a small trimmer. The problem in the past was the fusing of the string on the gas trimmer but using 0.95 string eliminates that.

Not sure what I may do today but first enjoy the coffee first batch after cleaning and descaling the coffee maker

Good Morning
It’s 72° with 95% humidity this morning, good chance of showers this morning, then clear in the afternoon with a high in the upper 80’s.
Yesterday was grey all day, but only .03” of rain.
The major project for the day was the ladder for attic access. I hate pull down stairs, even the “high quality” ones are junk. I made the access through the existing garage to avoid any compromises in the old folks home itself. I got a 10’ 300lb capacity ladder and made a hinge system and lift to stow it out of the way when not in use.

The plasma cutter made short work of the parts, I got some sailboat hardware from Amazon, a couple of pulleys and a ratchet cleat.

I assembled the baker’s scaffolding, that will be helpful with many upcoming tasks.

IMG_4801.jpg

But most noteworthy was the completion of the supply plumbing with the exception of the feed connections in the boiler room. I am still waiting on a few parts to plumb the boiler to the radiant heat system, but I do have what I need to do the domestic supply plumbing to the boiler, as well as the combustion venting to it.

Looks like there are peaks of sunshine outside, the rain might have only been a rumor. I’ve got to get moving, off to the supply house for a length of 1” copper for the boiler plumbing, and then HD for some small storage bins for plumbing fittings.
