Good morning! Low was only 68° overnight! Way too warm above our "normal" summer lows.... should be under 60..... The high today expected to hit the mid nineties. No rain expected.
The trip to Colorado was good overall, but I struggled. Couldn't sleep Friday night before we left. I was up tossing and turning all night. Drove up anticipating getting some rest there.....nope....
Daughter had a problem with her big Ford Excursion. Took it out for a test drive.....
Loud "valve tapping" noise at around 2K rpm....
Checked the oil.... none on the dipstick....OK....
Went to the auto parts store, got what was needed for an oil change (due anyway), thinking a "little low".....
Only problem was that 2 qts of black, black, oil drained out.... should have been 7 qts.....
Got the oil change done, fingers crossed when starting..... OK, valve tap gone at idle, but still present at the 2K rpm range. Not good. She is really pizzed at her fiancé..... he had been driving it all winter and spring. Now need to research the amount of possible damage done...
So, after all that, I'm really dragging.... and .... can't sleep the second night..... felt like crap all day yesterday, then drove back home for 4 hours. Definitely slept better last night, but still woke up twice! ????
Paul and Ron, hope you guys get to feeling better.
RNG, sorry to read about the plumbing fiasco. Good that you were able to get it fixed, but sorry about the time lost. We're dry and hot here this week too! Make sure you close the doors and windows......
Plowhog, thanks for the RV fridge link. Good job on the conversation. My next big improvement will be a tankless water heater. The little 6 gal. has got to go..... Rigby is growing exponentially!
Still trying to get caught up on here.... and I only missed a couple days.....
BIL doesn't look good. We can watch his energy decrease quickly. He's having a hard time getting around now. He is still very positive and not giving up the fight. I think he knows more than he is revealing.....
OK, now I have to go.
Have a great day
