Mowed today. Here's some good advice I didn't get:
Don't hit your raccoon trap with your mower.
Stopped the JD zero turn in it's tracks, but it seems okay (except for one chip out of one blade). The trap? not so much... Sent the trap body/tube about 30 feet!

Yikes...I'd say you got your hand full with Big Boss,maybe spray bear mace on wooden parts or hang some rope 6" or so soke in some nasty.

20 mins ago 83F now 79F going down clouds are getting darker,weather alert 6pm to 9pm 1"+ hope it's not a BIG splash.
Been okay day...got the trimming barely enough time to mow the lawn before heaves open up around 11:30pm...whew.
Plans for the evening after dinner later on share bowl ice and just numb it.

Good (Thursday) morning. Overnight Low of 5.4C and it's presently 11.3C, somewhat overcast & fairly calm. A bit damp this morning but nothing really in the gauge.
A very successful 'into town' yesterday; there were two items to retrieve from the PO = the Government sent me a "poo test kit" to check for bowel cancer and the brass 'door push plate' arrived. Script picked up at the Chemist, then groceries.
I ordered a couple of "Workplace First Aid Kits" from St John Ambulance. We've got two Churches that we're responsible for so I figured if our St Helens' kit was 'out of date' then the one in St Marys would be too.
Yes, I mounted the push-plate on the french door = very good quality.
I'm off for a 'Foot Dude' [podiatrist] appointment in a bit.
That's about it, take care all.

If your government is anything like my government then I wouldn't use the test kit. I would just take a dump in a box and send it to them.

Errands successful, drip irrigation completed, that's it! Temp went above the 96° mark stopping at 100°.... just way too hot to do anything, let alone be outside.
Temps should start dropping a bit tomorrow. Good chances for some showers starting tomorrow too. I hope so.
Gstrom, you were lucky to have minimal damage to the mower! That trap looks well made.... well it did....
Dennis, I also have a Masterbuilt smoker, but it's propane. Initially, had an electric one, but it would constantly trip the breaker. The propane lasts a very long time, at least 30-40 hours of use, might be longer. Also very easy to regulate.
Time to watch the nature shows on PBS.
