Finally got the front field mow,it looks like the grass starting to slow in growing.

Plans for the evening...after dinner setting on the porch with smooth cigar glass with 3 ice cubes floating with in spirits waiting for critter and stars.

Good to see you so comfortable with a bear getting so comfortable and used to people, personally I would not be so friendly to him and I would have been scaring him off.
The DEC hear just shot 3 bears that weren't afraid of people because they had become nuisances that were not afraid of people.

Sophie’s ophthalmologist really pleased with her progress. Another followup in 2 weeks.

The boys did well at Vet. I do think they would prefer not to get the poke under the tail. 78 and 76 lbs and very remarking what great shape they are in. I should be so lucky

Wx not cooperating for my mowing, continued on and off drizzle. A few good hours of sunshine could be hurtful.

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low was a balmy 8.2C and it's presently 11.6C, darkly overcast yet calm. Rain started @ 0900; predicted to last the day.

I've had a couple of 'quick' power outages so far this A.M. It'll be a lovely 'indoor' day today what with the very welcome rain... I can always do with a water tank top-up.

Good evening all. 79ºF for the start, partly cloudy sky, light breeze. moderate wind with bricks gusts, afternoon build ups and high temp was 103ºF, HI 113ºF. made coffee to start day, got bills paid and checks in the mail. Bike ride was hot. Cooled off for lunch then napped and puttered for the afternoon. Yesterday "new" trimmer ran out of string couldn't find new head so used old trimmer. Man old one heavier and has more HP. Found new head and got in installed inspite of confusing instruction. They should have been more clear on how to tell if trimmer has arbor or not and which figure to refer to when you figure whether you have arbor or not. But it is done.

Coffee is done brewing. 68° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 76° with numerous thunderstorms. .31" of rain since yesterday morning. Trip to tractor show got canceled. Because of constant rain until 2 pm. Will get to do it next year. Did load up 920 lbs of scrap metal collected from neighbors and my place. Hauled to local scrap yard. Rest of the day was conserve energy. Hope to get some more energy conservation in today.
Full Sturgeon Moon will be Tuesday afternoon. Visible from around 8pm until about 4am Wednesday.

68° with a high of 80 and a chance of rain all day.
Still dark, can’t tell what the sky looks like.

Yesterday I spent some time on the excavator, got the propane line installed as well as the conduit for the generator feed, then used the tractor and loader to backfill and rough grade.

The masons were plugging away at the fireplace, Sheetrock got delivered and they started hanging it.
Pretty productive day.

Today I’m off to Islip, Long Island, then Iron Mountain, MI on the UP, wait for 5 hours, then do the reverse. I think that I’ll be home for the rest of the month so that I can keep moving on the old folks home.

on Sunday and wanted to see me before I left on big trip. Hope Puerto Rico is fixed up after that hurricane, island was a mess.

For the last 3+ years Boo and I keep distance between us at all times.
Treats such as apples pumpkins etc. are place well away from the house,also no yelling anything might make him jumpy,but Boo likes his blanket near the stack wood pile of just inside the shed door.

old friends of mine are buying their first travel trailer.
They have a 2018 F150 with max trailer package and ecoboost,
but they are in the 6000 pound range so plenty of truck to pull that weight.
They only have a 25k budget and I think are looking at a Forest River Rpod.
They know all about poor quality rv construction, somewhere one looks for a sweet spot
of lower price and at least adequate quality. Finding quality in the "sticks and tin" category is challenging because
the product is driven by lowest possible cost.

due to social media immense pressure has been put on companies like Grand Design who use Lippert frames that have
routinely failed in heavy fifth wheels. The poor quality build of rv's is now front and center in buyer's minds.

one of the decisions my friend made early on was to invest in the optional independent rear axles with shock
absorbers, should help make a lightweight trailer last longer by not shaking it so much.

my friends are going to Hershey RV show looking for a deal. I think the market has slowed down, more inventory out there,
better deals to be made.

if their trailer comes with "China bombs", my house present for their new rv will be a set of Goodyear tires.

I could sure use some help from the ambition fairy myself today...

this is the travel trailer my friends are looking at. Murphy bed arrangement maximizes usefulness of a small trailer and
allows an adult sized bathroom. Doesn't come with a gen, they will need to get a portable, likely a Honda inverter.
no dining room table vs a dining "shelf" with two chairs. Works fine for two people.
everything done to maximize every square inch.
This is a new floor plan with the Murphy bed, none out there yet, so I guess they are looking to get first one.
sure would be nice if they got a good deal on the show special.
(like I did with my Dynamax/MB at the Raleigh rv show)

they know all about my problems with folding beds and rv beds in general.
I think the murphy bed is a great solution, turns into a big couch.
