kenmbz, why take the lights down after you went to all the trouble to put them up? Just leave them up year round.

It took 4 hours to plow today, mainly because I threw a front chain. The spider fell off and I didn't see it. I was only about 800 feet from the house on the side of the road. Junior came out with the tools and we arranged the chain so I could limp it home where I have a cut off wheel on my angle grinder. Got the chain put back on properly and used 3 bungie cords to hold it on. Then finished up the plowing, mostly on this place.

Roast pork for supper tonight with the carrots and onions that the roast sat on. A Kiwi fruit for dessert.

Periods of snow tonight and tomorrow.

Kyle, with the pond and fields you have a natural habitat that has food and water. Which wildlife will benefit from your habitat? Will you have to plant food plots? Hope your wife gets some relief and sleep.
No food plots needed. Might plant 1% of land with wildflowers. Lady said not to "use" deer as one of the reasons. Said need a LOT more land to basically provide for deer (like they never would leave the property if it were large enough). So, birding, including song birds and migratory birds. I need to put up some more bluebird nesting boxes, 3 bat boxes, 2 wood duck boxes near pond. Erosion control counts. I have some erosion below my pond that needs to be cut into a swell and planted with grass. She talked about "old style" bluestem grass vs what the state planted in many of the ditches. Believe it or not, killing many types of unwanted weeds and grasses counts. Predator control, coyotes, raccoons, skunks counts. Anything that messes with the native wild birds. Also, brush control which involves killing wuisatche and honey locust. Need to take pictures and document in a journal. Game cams for pictures. At times, like right now, we have quite the deer population for a small place. I believe they come here to safe harbor from the hunters.

Good morning, the low is 12 and going to a high of 18°F. Wind WNW 9 mph. Periods of light snow.

I'll go out to plow at 7:30 this A.M. The tow truck should arrive here at about 8:30 to drag the Dodge into the shop to install a new battery.
I will plow me out totally and then go do the others.

Ron, nice shot of the hawk.

Drew, the only thing I remember from my years (grades 5 through 8) in the choir is a treble clef and a base clef. I have no idea about the notes.

Have a safe day all
Really glad to hear you got your license back. Congrats!

Got a call by new friend here that we could do his son's moving job yesterday if I was available. He'd helped with some of my larger items, so it was pay back time. He'd planned to use the flat dump bed on his F250, raising the bed all the way, strapping the big piece on, then lifting it up by lowering the bed. Didn't work because the bed wouldn't go vertical, and not enough of the big piece was on the bed. Ended up with a drop gate U-Haul trailer and winching the thing up supported by my Roll-A-Lifts. All that horsing around took most of the day, but it included a very tasty grilled chicken burrito, his treat.

TGIF gang!
Glad to hear you're making new friends down south.

that reminds me, I need to change my filters also.

Ted is not doing well. His wife is very sick.
I thought I had his home address but don't so
will email him and ask for it, and confirm ok
if others sends his wife a card.
Sad to hear this. Ted and Dona are in our prayers.

Yesterday I found out that my Sister had had a mild stroke a fortnight ago, but didn't realise it until a couple of days ago. She's now in hospital but texted me that she's 'fine'. That was followed by a video call with my Aunt to get the whole story... probably an operation once 'they' locate the blockage. <sigh>
Wags, sounds like they caught it in time. Hope the best for her. Prayers sent from the other side of this good Earth.

Wife is still in pain, but managing it with some kind of muscle relaxers and some ibuprofen. She says she is "moderately" better, but also says she has learned not to move her left arm much. Says if she holds it over her head, it feels better at times. Still unsure if pinched nerve or tendon damage, but nothing happened that she can remember that could have caused it. She got 4 hours of sleep last night, which is the most since last Monday.

I keep a small LED flashlight in my pocket almost always.

New cheap Samsung A35 5g phone is pretty amazing for the low price they had it on sale. I got it for $267. Normally $400. It does the RCS type messaging, so it can send/receive video like Apple products and it has great video and camera too. So far I love it. Only difference I miss from my old cheap phone, is the ability to shake it a particular way to turn on the flashlight. This one I would have to load an app to do it and I'm trying to keep it from getting bogged down with apps.

No shortage of drama going on around the world.

Prayers for our team, the sick, our nation, Ukraine and Israel.

OK, with adblock off, I'm also getting pop up videos on my home computer here on TBN.
Besides the ads on the right margin, and inbetween each post....arghhh.

Turned adblock back on, still have ads on right, and at bottom, but not between each post as of right now.

Coffee is brewing. 37° with rain this morning. Heading to 49° cloudy skies. Yesterday weather melted all the snow on ground. Got Sassy out for a good long walk. Got over 7k steps. Went with neighbor into his woods and did some trail trimming and cleanup. Will have to wait and see what weather brings for today.

good morning all
31 going up to 49 today in clouds and rain mid day.

I see constant ads on sides and in between, getting more invasive. See a lot of ads for Trivolt,
a corn herbicide

woke up with headache and sniffles, moving slowly.

Mostly, when you set up and take down the chapel, is that in a public meeting spot?
I assume not a church. Are you joined by others?

woke up to see lights on in garage since I forgot to turn them off. Will work in garage today finding a spot for
those newly painted shelves so I can put car away. While they are all nicely painted/derusted now, if I put them back outside,
pretty sure they will rust again. when I had my greenhouse in NC, used the same shelves, but must have been different maker.
The chrome plating on NC shelving never rusted at all, despite humidity. This last batch of shelves must have had fake chrome on it because
they rusted immediately.
