13F partly cloudy mid 20's for high,wind decreasing by early evening.
Outside chores done E muffin time.
Plans for today...4 hours at part store,2 stops in town for fuel critter food,maybe afternoon nap keep eye lids open for Ohio vs Texas game tonight.

RNG, good that you got your buddy to the hospital...serious stuff. My wife says sell your old house ASAP.
Scott, glad you learned helpful info....never know when your firehouse will add salad as an option.
Mostly, never heard of Malt-o-Meal, so looked it up. Interesting.
Buppies, last night I watched a you-tube of an Appalachian Trail thru-hiker heading south...he hiked on your ice from Daleville to Tinkers Cliffs...quite a long hike on a slippery trail with steep climbs and rocks. I can imagine conditions down at your place are even worse. Drive carefully, even the mini.
Took Della for a tracking hike yesterday. Saw tracks of 7 types of mammals. Stream mostly iced over, and snow still sticking around. Birds are going crazy. Decided to leave the tractor asleep, and use the wheelbarrow to bring in 4 more loads of firewood to the porch rack...we are going through it quickly...I'm down below 50% of my dry inventory.

Good Morning from Central Texas.
36 degrees, 36 dew point. Yesterday and overnight 2.13" of rain which we really needed. No outdoor work today.

15 outside right now, heading to lower 30's, snow (slight) expected this evening.
Had to work on the animals water heaters yesterday. Not fun, water, ice, high winds, low temps. LOL.
Frozen hoses too. Not blocked, but the plastic just cracks. Took a good part of the day away.
Today need to throw hay down from the barn and restock the out buildings and run in sheds for the animals. Then like wngsprd, collect firewood. My stock is a lot lower than his though. Just cannot keep up with everything.

just think Spike, at one to seven ratio, that would have been 14 inches of snow.
I bet Texas is like NC when it snows, just not enough plows.
24 going up to 38 with some light snow and rain tonight.
up most of night not feeling well, dizzy, upset stomach, not sure why
almost like that salmon burger for dinner dropped a bomb on me.
sounds like a very slow day for me.
really hope the fires in CA die down today
note Feds say we will all pay for everything for six months through disaster relief.
that's some seriously expensive real estate burning up.
sure hope they don't let them build it all back up the way it was.
though I guess you could say the same thing about Miami or New Orleans.

I'm way behind. Thanks for the prayers and thoughts about my mom.
Prayers and condolences to NHBX and family. Not easy losing a loved sibling. Parkinsons is horrible.
My mom got moved to a skilled nursing facility (actually one wing of a nursing home). about 20 days worth, clock is ticking. From everything I've read, it looks like this will force the sale of her home. She's had it since 1958. I'm upset about this. Wish we could keep it and sell it when things calm down instead of being in a hurry.
She finally ate about 1/2 of a sweet potato. She is off O2. Getting up and down to use the restroom requires help.
Her pain tolerance is about zero.
Still cold here in the south. A wet one yesterday as the weather guessers were right.
Need to replace daughter's car's brake pads, and give it an oil and filter change.
Going to work today. I don't have that many sick days in store for helping out my mom. Another sticky problem.
