Good Morning! 40˚F heading to the upper 70s, clear sky and mild W wind. It's cold again.

The pool bots were emptied 3 times yesterday as they struggled to keep up with the strong winds yesterday.

Gate is polished, 3 Costco roses planted, and we worked on the dry river bed, got a few more feet cleaned. Wife thinks we should be finished in 2 weeks, if we can do a little every day. trying to get the project done before the 90˚s take over again.

Good Morning,
Ct, 42 to start going to 60. Yesterday was really quite chilly but hopefully better today.

Not sure I want the grill on trex, as the grill will drip.
Dennis, I have a Weber Spirit and it doesn’t drip because it has a drip pan. Works well.
Scotty, tell your wife we think it's a beautiful Saint Patrick's Day table setting. Did you serve corned beef and cabbage or Irish stew? We had Shepherd's Pie for pi day (3.14).
Billy thanks, she served corned beef and cabbage. It was very good. Yes table was beautiful, I built that kitchen table many years ago, white oak.

Off to church, hope all have a blessed day 🙏

good morning, 59 going to 67, some light rain overnight but much more coming this afternoon

Ready for the Speed Queen to be delivered next Tuesday.

Continue the rehab on the finger injury. Slow progress but to be expected. The Rotator Cuff injury is behind me. Took most of two years to work it out without surgery. Glad I followed the Dr advice to not go the surgery route.

Good Morning
52° and foggy now, high of 72 and rain to look forward to later in the day.

Yesterday was quite the busy day. Started with pulling the recording from Friday evening and sharing it with the boys.

Then it was into the shop to build a manure spreader axle. Much bigger project than I anticipated. Used the lathe, Bridgeport and magnetic drill press, didn’t break for lunch until 3:30, and I’m still not done. I’ll take some pictures today when I get back on it.
It’s built up enough now that it’s a two man lift to move it.
Fortunately, the neighbor who it is for was here to help, and was Johnny on the spot with dust pan and broom through the whole project. All the machines are cleaner than when I started! I am usually wallowing in my own mess until the project is complete, so this is a luxury.

I’m planning to make waffles for everyone before getting back in to the shop, hopefully my grandson will make it up here along with his parents and aunt and uncle.

Good Morning!!!! 39F @ 5:00AM. Overcast. High near 60F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.
Windy and wet up north where I'm headed today, with gusts up to 40MPH. Ugh.

Found the secret sauce to get the photos migrated to the new photo management software on the laptop. And finished packing the van. I know I've forgotten something, but won't find out what it is until I need it, at which point I'll have to go out and buy it, ending up with two.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend...

I am not traveling between 2 houses. Have the same problem. Latest was my caulk line that I inherited from my dad. Could not find it until I bought a new one from Menards.

Good morning TBN!!!
62 when I got up at 4. Should be about 70. I am glad I'm not the only one that felt it was cold yesterday. We seemed to have been spared most of the storms. Radar shows we are pretty much cleared for the day. Went North and South of us. Just a little rain and quite breezy but all done now.
Not a whole lot yesterday. Made a HF run to pick up a corded Sawzall.
Haven't tried it out. Maybe later today. First I will put some sand around the tank so we won't be in red mud to our knees. Going to bore a hole or 2 to get an idea of what I am working with for the tanks steel. I have been moving stuff to stage it for trips up and down the drive.

And the day isn't getting any longer and second cup is done.
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

Morning all, 60 going to 68 and light rain, heavier rain later.
Not sure where to today.

Spent a few hours with both the gas chainsaws yesterday cleaning up some big deadfall.
Both saw worked great, but some of the dead Ash is powder by the time they fall, dulling chains pretty fast, so cleaned and sharpened up both saws/chains before I put them away.
Still quite a few branches hanging off of the tree base, will need to rope those down, not gonna get close.

Showed son how to change air filter and showed him all the fluids again so he'll remember.

Ron - whole family got a kick out of the bird pic.

Don - can imagine me in Digworld as a kid and the ambulance ride after :)

Off to walk dog, rain will curtail rest of the activities, maybe. Should get some grass seed out, but afraid winds will move it around.

Still a lot of trees to buck and cleanup, and quite a few big ones haven't fallen yet, EAB, the gift that keeps on giving.

Be well,

Mini gardens cleaned up and ready

got lots done this morning while it was surprisingly warm out at 65
built a new 3x4 metal raised bed, tedious with 40 little screws and wing nuts.
have all the stuff to put in it but need to put jeans on first.

Hosed down the trailer and got all the mud off it from yesterday.
then refilled the bird feeders before bad weather comes in and installed the new one
on my kitchen window. Not sure they will see it/be attracted to it with all the competing food 50 feet away
but can only wait and see.

Buying opportunity. Happens all the time. That's what I tell the wife. Sometimes, if the forgotten item is not TOO expensive it happens several times. Nothing wrong with "backup" tools.

67°F and .41 inches rain

Brian from Fitrite Hydraulics sent me seal kits for my Top n Tilt cylinders I bought years ago. Would like to get those rebuilt today. My gland nut removal tool is playing hide and seek.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

I went back and looked at the deck picture I posted, and there was Tiger staring out the window. I didn't think I had a picture with him looking out.
I still can't find my 30 ft tape measure I keep in my tool bag. Has disappeared from a job I did somewhere. Brought up the one from the Barn for now. How something that big and yellow can disappear. Have been looking all over.
Wind has really cranked up here in the last half hour. No storms nearby on radar.

Good worship, I had songs today. Good meal after at the usual Italian place. I get a reprieve from teaching tonight.

/ Good morning!!!! #204,558
35°F and light snow this morning, got up to 47°. Sun is finally trying to peek out.
80° and tornadoes on Friday, 35° and snow on Sunday. Welcome to the Midwestern USA.

20 mph winds today, so didn't get out and do much beyond feeding the chickens this morning. Still a bunch of limbs and sticks to pick up. 60s and 70s this week, so I'll probably do that after work, as we've recently been granted an extension of sunlight hours.

Paul/PJS, glad you are ok in bad weather. Recliners in the basement sounds smart.
visions of seeing you play a pipe organ with some grand music while the storm crashes and rages above... ;)
lots of crescendos...
Our basement is a finished walkout basement, Drew. Our "living room" with the comfy chairs, sofa, and television is down there. The traditional living room space upstairs is a music room, with a couple of highback chairs, violins and violas on wall hangers, my cello on a stand in one corner, and The Wife's baby grand piano in front of the big windows.

No crescendos, but if it's any consolation, while we had the lights out enjoying the lightning show, I looked at her and said in a deep voice. "It was a dark, stormy night." She rolled her eyes at me ... again. It's a regular thing with us.

Good afternoon, gents.
