Only 1/2" of snow last night.

Today is an energy conservation day.

54 outside right now, that might be the high for today.

Weekend was busy. Trees all came down with no issues. Good thing as yesterday we had lots of wind gusts in the 50mph range. Took a few panels off one of the equipment sheds. No other problems. With the trees down the chainsaw got a lot of work. Down to last chain again, so I need to drop off chains to get sharpened. The RTV got a workout taking limbs to the burn pile. Totally too big now. Today the splitter may make an appearance. This will be at least two weeks work at my rate.

Have some new yard art to deal with.

I found the sawsall with good blade the perfect tool when cutting my shipping container. Fast and accurate.
Are you removing the complete ends or leaving some portion as reinforcement? Seems that might be a good way to as long as it doesn’t impede flow.

Yes I plan on leaving about 6" rim for sturdiness. Bored a hole yesterday. Looks to be about 1/8" thick. Gonna take some time but should get under way today.

Good morning TBN!!

45 this morning with a high in the mid to upper 60s and breezy.
Pretty busy day for me yesterday.
Loaded and spread sand on the mud around the tank to make it a little less sloppy to walk in.
Then transplanted a 25 ft tall Bradford Pear. It was in the way of where I need to drag the old tank out of the river. That was quite a chore.
Got my water pump started after sitting for at least 5-6 yrs. Shot or 2 of starting fluid. Fired and ran after about 3 pulls. Small cheap HF pump but it will do the job.
Got some walking in. Rode around the property a bit to look for damage. Doesn't look to be anything new but hard to tell after Helene.
Plans today are much the same as yesterday. I will get the ends of the tank marked off and maybe start some cutting. A little walking, maybe some more riding. Remains to be see. But....

Time for a second cup.

Yesterday we had a weird see saw day but did make 80F
Today we're starting at the freezing point and according to prediction won't reach our high of 35-6F until 4-5PM.
Heavy cloud until noon or so.
For me today is pay day.
I pay my property insurance, electricity, gas, and a couple other bills.
By 5PM I'll be over 6K lighter.
Happy St Patty's day to those so inclined.
I like potatoes, corned beef but my green today is limited to cabbage. No green beer....
Maybe I'll watch Harrison Ford in The Fugitive. There's a St Patty's scene and I haven't seen the movie in years.

58 and dropping to low 50s now that the cold front has moved through. Fortunately, we got only mild wind and rain from the big storm, but some areas east of us got 6.8 inches of rain.

Thanks for the positive feedback on Smart Switch for the cell phones. Worked great, but I did have a little trouble moving my activation over until I got the most wonderful help from tech support in India. He even promised to call me back at 10am today to help with my wife's phone.

We got caught in the first band of rain while out on the trail about 2 miles from the truck. Glad it was a warm day. Della was already wet from swimming so didn't care, but I got wet...couldn't decide whether I was soaked or drenched...wondering what the difference was while I was hiking.

It is a PITA to change phones, for me I have so many apps from work that require dual authentification. Plus there are some old apps that dont work on the new android. So I had to keep my old phone simless, for my ODB code scanner and a small diameter bore scope.

44 this morning still breezy not enough rain to wet your whistle. More trees down one touched truck no damage. Diarrhea yesterday still touch this morning.

Very alone here my get up and go is gone. Yard a mess I just want to stay inside. Maybe today but I doubt it.

Ct, 50 to start going to 58. Cloudy with on and off rain, last night high wind guts but not as much rain as we expected. Hopefully I can get a walk in later after the rain clears out.

Party went well after parade, a little crazy with all of our grand kids plus a bunch more of the cousins kids that were here.

Don, thanks for that great video. We did have one group of Irish dancers come through the parade route, and they were very good.

Don’t plan on doing too much today, as I’m kind of worn out from all the festivities

I had to leave the party yesterday early. The 6 kids never stopped making screaming noises. Is this something new or is it me getting older. Taking my hearing aids off did not help.
