Good morning!!!!

Morning all, 46 to 64 and cloudy.
Last nights rain was negligible.

Replaced the Cap and fuse on the monitor power supply board, only to see the driver start smoking.
Seems it went and shorted the original cap. That driver would not be easy to replace as it's glued down and has a heat sink so I can't even see what it is. I ordered a new power supply for $40 and will see if that works.

We actually went out to dinner last night, first time in a while, with me not drinking the bill wasn't too bad.

Really restless night so slept in.

Got 18 bags of mulch, one of dirt for the pots, some big t-posts. All the bags are laid out where they will go. Maybe get to that later.

Truck goes in for new tires tomorrow, another $1200+ day.

Took dog for walk at peddlars village, they replaced the big tree with a Maple. Dog met a lot of other dogs and people.

Be well,
First of the large daffodils opened, most are not quite there yet.

As promised pic of stairs. They used to come straight out the door up to the bulk head that you can just see the corner of bottom of pic. All used parts from my old pool deck. Rear board is not attached yet as I'm not sure how the railing will be.

Another project finished this morning. My sister does quilts so I made her a needle holder box.

Back to holding down the couch!

we would have sometimes build support structures into the CAD model for the build support. I’m guessing that the 3D printing is a different beast, so maybe not needed.

Support structures are very much a thing in 3D printing. They are required to support any overhang. They can be minimized by orienting the part in the printer in a way that minimizes the overhang.
But the supports are generated in the “slicing” process, and done automatically. So they are not in the initial 3D CAD drawing.

66°F and no water.

Would finish my local PV disconnect I installed on my solar electric. This will allow me to turn of the PV connection with climbing to the combiner boxes just under the roof. Had I really thought about it I should have relocated them when I upgraded panels instead of leaving them where the installer placed them. All I need to finish is cut and fit the metal cover.

Ken and I batted .500 this afternoon, got the led ceiling light in rv replaced after a bit of a
struggle, but new one in and working. Then we worked on Gravely's lights and the soldered leads simply would not
stick to bulb. Over the years the hardware had come apart and I need to rebuild, starting with two new head light bulbs.
oh well, at least it's super easy to work on.

going to chill and read my book before going to dinner at brother's

I wondered why the house was cool this morning, 65°F, (I keep the place at 72) pushed the reset button on the Beckett burner and heard click, click, click. Called the burner service guy and fired up the wood furnace. Burner guy spent more time yakking than it did to replace the coupler that went for a dump. $242.oo After hours service call $160.oo+coupler+fuel to get here from Powassan=$242.oo Talked to him about using Power service as an anti-gel. Basically turned him onto PS. He has been using Methyl Hydrate. I don't like MH because it will rot rubber. Now I don't have to scramble to get winter oil in April after the refineries are changing over to summer oil. I'll just get summer oil and dump a couple of gallons of PS into the big tank.
Right after he left I went out and scraped some more slush off the driveway/parking area. 2 hours at that and am now back inside.
The freezing rain so far amounted to 1/8". My tire chains broke it up nicely.

So, I had marked the best straight sections to cut, some big diameter ones for posts, and some longer (up to 16') pieces for the top. I got too warm and tired by afternoon, so took Della for a dump run/hike and swim. Nice to hike in shorts and short sleeves (was 77F, 41 degrees warmer than our hike 2 days before).
hope your free range post wood works out.

Church this morning. BBQ'ing burgers now. Wife and son are arguing how well done to cook the burgers. Wifey makes 6 oz patties. 80/20 ground chuck. PitBoss working great.

A few years back I bought a pair of replacement headlights for our older yukon. I bought some like these, because I thought they really updated the look of the vehicle to what the modern SUV's have. I'm having trouble with the passenger side low beam not working. It is a simple H7 55w halogen, but the erratic operation might lead to something else. The bulb checked continuity ok. I was going to buy a bulb local, so I checked stock around. Walmart=none. O'relly's website showed a basic sylvania for $14.99. Took a nice long motorcycle ride to pick it up and the counter guy said $17.99. I said website showed different, he said no matter. I said no thanks. Amazon has a pair of high end bulbs for $20.99 ordered.

The other possibility might be the turn signal stalk where you change from hi to low beam.

Paul, that drink tray is going to look great in the back of the Grumman. ;) You can go to GrabCad or thingyverse to find more models to print.

I need to be a scientist and check my eyelids for light leaks for a spell. I'll hold down my end of the couch.

Last night's Supercross was really exciting with many passes and the top 4 or 5 were within about 3 seconds.

Today has United States MotoGP from Austin right now.
