Good morning!!!!

Morning all;
Going to be an interesting morning, going to do something that may not be the smartest.
I've had a set of Chevy Equinox wheels for sale they have been on Facebook and Craigs list for several months with minimal interest. Then Sunday had a resurge in interest along with a request for more pictures, so went and took more pictures and then posted them on the old ads. Had an individual that was texting and wanting them but wasn't supposedly in a position to come down and look at them. So as he is willing to pay the full asking price and I have the time I'm going to take them up to his address and assume I'll have a stress free interaction.
So something I'd certainly be telling anyone else not to do, and I am going to do.

And a general question, tire-wheel-rim what is the general consensus as to the proper terms.
I've always considered the steel/aluminum tire mounting device to be a rim, of course the rubber tire is the tire, and to me the mounted combination was a wheel, so a wheel consists of a tire mounted on a rim. But is seems like the term rim is very seldom used now and the "rim" is often called the "wheel".

It seems like spring is in the air for good here, roller coaster temperatures and lots of rainy sour days, and an occasional freezing night.

All stay safe and get well
Use caution on your delivery, Lou.

Good Morning!!!! 43F @ 7:30AM. A mix of clouds and sun, with gusty winds developing this afternoon. High 58F. Winds NW at 20 to 30 mph. Higher wind gusts possible.

Many, many years ago a friend's derraileur got sucked into his chain on the first day of a week long tour on Cape Cod. Fortunately we had a chain breaker, so we removed the broken part and just shortened the chain. Didn't slow him down much, and thank goodness there weren't many hills...

Pretty sure I could not be that trusting after the wild goose chase last year, Engineer. You could at least get on Google Maps and use the Street View to verify that there is such an address and that it looks like a house.

Realtor has another showing lined up for 6PM this evening, then another tomorrow morning. All it takes is one...

Got a little more paperwork to finish, then I need to get the grass cut. It really went nuts last week while I was out of town.

That should pretty much finish off the day.

Happy Hump Day, folks!

68°F and no rain

Got more mowing done yesterday. Except for doing the dogs area with push mower likely take a few days break.

Firmware update to solar controller went well. First time I’d ever updated that piece, but have replaced it a time or 2 with upgrades.

Probably make a PO run, should be a couple items arriving that have poor tracking.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Use caution on your delivery, Lou.
Well I'm home successful sale and delivery of a set of Equinox wheels that had just been gathering dust, full asking price and an additional $50 for delivery. Nice guy friendly and easy to find with the gps, especially after I had googled him and his address last night.

Having worked with tire and wheels for 40 years. We called it a “tire and wheel assembly”. Rim is where the weight was applied to a steel and some aluminum wheels for balancing.
I always thought it was the wheel and the tire, and the edge of the wheel as you say is the rim.
Tire rack calls them wheels

got the rv cleaned up and then back and forth with some guy texting me about the rv, wanted me to run some background check on it that only I as owner
could run. Horse manure. Here's the vin, pay to run it yourself. Pretty sure he has never owned an rv, asking questions more car related. Thinks an online report will tell him what shape vehicle is in. you wish.
maybe he bought a flood car before, ?

roses arrived, need to go soak them in water.
and hopefully soon get a call saying my car is ready to be picked up.

excellent news Frits

Good Morning!

80°F and cloudy, damp conditions. Predicted to go to 86 but I think it will go higher. We are already 10° higher than the average daily high. Feels like only 79° with the 8 mph winds out of the SSW. Humidity is 76%.

The wife is in East Texas today and just completed 3 property appraisal protests. Successfully, from the point that she got what she asked for on two and a substantial reduction but just above what she asked for on the third. These were from 2024 so we are going to get a partial refund on the taxes we had to pay last year on those properties. Won't be that much but if you don't contest them every year 'appraisal creep' will get you before you know it. Now we will be turning right around in a month or so and protesting for 2025. She did a great job last year and got a reduction on our primary homestead of over $100K. Some people don't realize how much they are over appraised on their property.

Good to hear a good report on Holly, Buppies!

mostly, I hope no serious bodily injuries came from that bike accident.

Seems like the 5+ years were getting more ice storms than snow  another freezing rain arriving later tonight. :(
Hope the weather gets better soon! Stay warm and dry!

Vt, 20 to start going to 43, with partial or muted sun this morning. Looks like snow coming in tonite, hopefully not much.
Hope you can stay inside and enjoy a warm fire!

Good morning,
30° now, mix of sun and clouds early then cloudy, highs in low 40’s. Winds ESE at 5-10 mph.
Hope it gets better!

......... the low is 14 and going up to 32°F.
Our cold front predicted for next week has the lows in the 40's.

Now that son has driven for a year with no accidents, I renegotiated insurance down about 30% and got a credit back. Still expensive, but a big chunk less.
Always helps to keep negotiating with them!

Time for a second cup.
Never a bad time for another cup of coffee. I don't usually like flavored coffee but the other day all they had at the Grill was "Bluebonnet" flavored coffee. Wasn't as bad as I expected.

That is what I always called it too.

Nice old tractor Don. Hope the project turns out well.

Glad to hear that Lou!

Everyone have a great afternoon! Prayers for our Nation!

roses look really nice, put them in bucket of water overnight

maybe one more walk outside, run the little weedeater out by mailbox.
so wet out there, grass has started to jump up in spots.

So yesterday we had 2 strange kids trying to hide (poorly) in our backyard.
We confronted them and they apologized.
Seems they have this thing for HS seniors called Senior assassin where they all try to get each other with water guns and the last group to get tagged gets a prize.
Ours played that, but they shot rubber bands at each other.

Buppies, glad good visit
I usually appeal my county assessment, and they will drop it some.

Temps in mid 50s is great for working outside, not too hot. Came in for lunch at 3 pm and think i'm done for the day. Got good bit done. Squared up where the lower deck will go. Got middle post installed that lines up with lower deck now. Still got to decide how wide to go with the "bridge" between the 2 decks. Got things cleaned up, and ready to start removing more deck boards, and time to start installing. Working around the posts will take awhile, then it should go pretty quick.

right now rain predictions for fri-sat not very much, but think I want to get the main deck done before I start building the lower deck. There is an existing lower deck, but it's all getting rebuilt.

At my old house in NJ,
I contested the tax hike it first year they reassessed, and won.

Second year they changed the rules so that the assessment had to be off by > $150,000 in order to contest it.

If the rules work against you, just change them, One of the many reasons I left for PA.

Good Evening,

Dennis glad you’re making good progress. I finished removing all the deck boards on this deck and put tape down on all the joists. Put a couple boards down to see how it would look, seems good. Hopefully the weather doesn’t deliver too much snow tonite. 😉

Lou, glad tire assemblies went smoothly on the delivery. Glad you got asking price.
