Don sorry about loss of BIL prayers sent

Sorry about truck Don that is terrible

61 this morning falling temperatures all day rain showers off and on nothing like what they called for upwards of 3/4 in. LaNina is messing with us. High pressure off SE coast too strong which lead to warmth last week. Still have fire danger. Did not go to bed until 2:30 sleepy now.

Prayers for all silent or spoken our country

Good Morning to All who Celebrate! Currently 38° going to a high of 44° with rain, just an all together miserable way to start the week. At least the coffee is hot.

Held down the chair this weekend, unintentionally took 3 hour nap after taking the dog for a walk. Still managed to sleep OK. Due to some work issue, parents didn't shove off for the beach. Well, they did, then somewhere in VA they turned around and came back. Mother was not a happy camper, so lying low was definitely the play. Now they're rescheduled for Saturday. Didn't look at the Farm Boss this weekend, maybe this week.

Found 80 acres up north, older barn and pole barn on property. 7 acres in a gas pad. Looks like a cow/calf operation is currently housed there....Do I dare to dream that big? Definitely would need a bigger tractor. Maybe a Ford TW-25, always liked the look of them. If I didn't have a girlfriend to think about, I'd be surrounded by tractors and living in an uninsulated shack.

Goals for this week: Survive work week, continue perusing for property, look at Farm Boss, schedule tee time for coworkers.

Don, Sorry for your string of bad luck, prayers for you and your family on loss of BIL.

Stay well and dry out there folks!
Prayers for those ailing and recovering!

40°
Woke up from noise of an obnoxious trimmer buzzing from across the road

Got a letter from electric company they couldn’t cash my last check I sent, said invalid account number. Same account I’ve paid with for last 30 yrs. All other checks haven’t had a problem.
Made an electronic transfer to them while I was up in the night. They are using a new “service” for payments and now extracting fees just to pay your bill.
Too much to do. Need to return the jig saw to UPS. Pick up more deck material.

Morning all, 39 going to 44 and rain.
Trip to NYC was good, son likes the college.
After the tours we went to South Street Seaport, China town for lunch to a place I used to visit with friends in high school and then to little Italy and home. I worked at 4 different buildings, 3 different companies downtown, and in the seaport pictures you can see 2 of them at the very southernmost end of the picture.
Cloudy, but we got lucky it didn't really rain, saw classrooms, met faculty and got to see one of the dorms.
My cousin is actually a carpenter working on one of the other dorms and we got to see the building he is working on during the week.

Walked near the building were I currently work (though I work remote) and avoided getting too close.

The power supply came in and The monitor is now working and reassembled. Would have been $500 to replace with like, but for $60, including the parts I ordered initially it's now working again. Other cheaper monitor option was about $200, so happy it's working on the cheap.

M7040 - put a freeze on your credit with the three suppliers, Transunion, experian, euqifax. I leave the freeze on unless doing something with loans etc.

Got the plow off the tractor and put the bucket back on and took the tractor for a spin.

TXDon - my condolences on BIL, hope the truck damage doesn't cause too many problems.

Be well,
Haven't eaten here since High school, brings back lots of memories. Been visiting Ctown since I was about 4 with my Grandpas friend from Mainland China.

I worked in 2 of the builds farthest away towards middle of picture. Taken at the seaport

Good Morning
38° and raining. High in the low 40’s as the rain continues throughout the day.

Yesterday was a relatively slow day, had a smoked cheeseburger at Mission BBQ for lunch with a side of Mac and cheese. Kept me full all day.

Tinkered around in the shop, dried a batch of desiccant bags and tried running PETG filament in the printer. It worked very well. I made a battery caddy for Makita LXT batteries for oldest son as a test piece.
Came out quite nice, holds four batteries. Here it is with the support structures in place and again with them removed. It’s a good illustration of what Scott asked last week.

I need to go over to the shop and cut some sandblast mask, have an eye doctor appointment at 1:45 son wants me to take him to pick up his car from the alignment shop.

Oddfellows meeting tonight, seems like the days fill up and pass by pretty quickly. Not sure that I would have time for a real job….

Was looking into getting some upgrade to the welding equipment from Primeweld.
Plasma cutter and MIG welder with a good range of capability
What were the models you were happy with Popg?

What were the models you were happy with Popg?

I’ve got the TIG225, MIG285 and the CUT60.
When I bought the TIG225 the 325 was not available. I would have gotten that if it was available then, but it’s a newer model. It goes higher and lower in current and has a higher duty cycle. I would also suggest the cooler and liquid cooled torch.

66°F and .14 inches rain.

Quiet day, just easy piddling about yesterday. Canadians unable to get flights yesterday but arranged for today. Will take them to airport this afternoon for their long (27 hour) journey home. They shared some video of the damage -ouch. It was a hot water faucet left on with bathroom door closed causing a steam room. Door was swollen stuck, customer cabinets became unglued. Enough steam to actually raise the house temp to 25°C.

I made some really good, slow cooked beef ribs. I think it provided a mental break they needed.

Today , I’m tackling an internal fan swap in my secondary charging inverter. Not a hard job, just a bit tedious as it is wall mounted and involves disassembly.

Will join Happy Hour crew in town right after airport drop

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good Morning!!!! 55F @ 9:15AM. Sunshine and a few clouds. High 69F. Winds WNW at 15 to 25 mph.

That is terrible, Don. Sorry to hear it.
Scotty, for short trips I turn off power to pump.
Good suggestion, Ron. I should start doing that up at the old house.
M7040 - put a freeze on your credit with the three suppliers, Transunion, experian, euqifax. I leave the freeze on unless doing something with loans etc.
I'm not sure how well those freezes work, Ken. A few years back my information was compromised then a government database was hacked, and I froze at all three credit reporting bureaus. Last month a opened up a new credit card and the application was approved in minutes. I did get an email warning from the free credit montioring outfit Uncle Sam set me up with, though.

I've read about people putting a solenoid valve on the main water line, and rigging leak detectors to close it if they detect moisture. Google would probably fill in the details.

Yesterday started off with three people in the back yard taking down the giant swing set I've been trying to get rid of for almost two years. It's so rare to find someone that will actually go through with a purchase commitment these days, I actually thanked them for following through.

In the afternoon there was another viewing of the house up north. Turns out it was a lesbian couple, but I couldn't tell from watching the cameras. Realtor and I had a Come To Jesus meeting after that. The mailbox only got pushed over a little bit and the realtor was able to straighten it and tamp the gravel back down. We both agreed that the Chinese family should never have been let past the gate, and he'd never let anything like that happen again. He was able to track down the buyer's realtor, and it was her flunky that was supposed to be there for the showing. I also reviewed my homeowner's policy, and it looks like it would cover accidents and theft caused by anyone coming on the property. So my concerns have been addressed, and I'm sticking with this realtor for now. Even though he announced he'll be going on a ten day cruise in another week. But he's got someone that will be able to show the house, and wants me up there next week to meet them. Not sure that schedule will work, but we'll see.

Got a couple more boxes emptied, and went through a couple closets looking for clothing to recycle. I'm running out of closet rods and drawers!

Val Kilmer passed recently, so I watched Toumbstone again. What a great cast and movie!

Not sure what kind of trouble I'll get into today, but there's another Vandenberg launch this afternoon.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a better start...

What a dreary rainy cool day.
Got a landscape crew working across the road, clearing out an area grown up along the road across from me. I liked it grown up, as it shielded their house from me. But if I was them, I'd have cleared it also.
ran errands with truck. First had to clean quite a mess of bird crap off the RH mirror. Last time I drove, truck was parked the other direction and I had to clean the driver side, this was only from a couple days....

Got my amazon package returned, bought some lumber at HD for the deck, added supports due to the picture framing I'm doing.
picked up my favorite chinese for lunch.
too muddy to work out under the deck, wish I could...

Called bank regarding the check that didn't clear, apparently the electric Co had miss scanned the account number from the check, a 0 got scanned as a 9, so it got returned.

Everyone in my household got the same letter from the local hospital about their security breach. I already have my credit frozen, but the rest of family don't. Maybe that's why I got turned down trying to open a high yield checking account the other day.

only 40 deg out, has gotten colder.

very nice visit with local police chief and her sergeant.
my crazy neighbor is well known to them, problems long before I got there.
they asked me to call them on private line next time he was shooting.
since his target has the main road behind it (not facing the woods...) they say that gives them
opportunity to come out and talk to him, gun safety, ricochets, etc.
they were super nice.
always helps that my brother helped hire the Chief...

drippy cold day, going down to freezing tonight.

hopefully tomorrow I will get the truck up on those ramps and have access to the 8 bolts holding
the air dam on.
I eyeballed it and it looks like half an inch clearance even getting up on the ramps.
quite sure I'll leave it off
not sure I can fit in there, trying to do by feel and not see is challenging
maybe I'll just take it over to Lambertville and have the gas station put it up on a lift.
that sounds like a smarter idea.
I'm not a little guy and that's not much room down there

Cleaned out pellet stove and then fired it up.
Did get a new saw blade and cut a small section of trex off to try it. Cuts well.
Wife made chili for supper. Already feel some heartburn, don’t usually get that.
Only got to 42°.

read several articles on benefits of eating/drinking pineapples
for reducing inflammation of arthritis. Pineapples I know make an effective meat tenderizer, so
clearly there are some good enzymes going on in there, plus vitamins.
only downside is sugar, lot of it, will mean cutting out other things.
I eat plenty of fiber so I don't need the whole pineapple, hoping there isn't a huge medicinal difference between fresh
juice and canned juice.

I ordered a case of 48 small cans of pineapple juice and will go on a daily regimen to see if
I can feel any difference.
let's see, six ounces of pineapple juice mixed with six ounces of vodka.
I was just taking my vitamins occifer....

cranberry juice also good with much less sugar but different benefit

only memory of juice as a kid in the 50's was getting orange juice frozen, and
someone had to turn that frozen tube into a pitcher of OJ, and quickly.
this was before microwaves, i think we put them in hot water?
I bet OJ was a luxury in the beginning.

Good Evening,
Scotty, that’s the same jig saw I have. It will cut threw anything when fitted with a sharp blade.
Ron that Bosch Jig Saw is a tiger. I have a fairly course blade on it, perfect for what I’m doing with it.

Dennis, sorry you still have mud under the deck. I’m almost done with this deck, just a couple more boards to go and then at some point I will have to take care of the railing 🙏

Ken nice picture.

Hope all have a good evening 😉
