45F partly cloudy day low 70's for high.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Notice game cam laying on the front lawn and strap laying in driveway :unsure:some damage but still works.
Plans for today...8 hours at part store afterwards yet to decide.

Enjoy your day all.
Evidently NuBoo doesn't like his picture taken either, Thomas.

Morning all, 64 going up to 68 and light rain.
Got little corn field finished, planted and bottom of fence up.
I space the t-posts up to be a few inches under 50' (20x10x20) front will be a different section of chicken wire.
So I found out the 50 foot roll, is a little under 49' , really

RNG says hi, he is still busy with house sale and move stuff.

Drew - I saw dozens of JGC 4xe, with 5,000 miles or less off lease, not a good sign and reviews on how it went from battery to engine left many people sick from the bucking.
The Lexus is a much better choice, congrats.
When do we do the drag race ?

Today , finish corn fence if rain not too heavy, less than1/4" so far, but we'll take it.

Be well,

2 x 16 gallons from sprayer to get it started and some rain last night should be good to go with more rain this week.

Ken Ground hogs are known to dig under fence and devour corn the morning it is ripe. A trap might be advisable just a suggestion

You have a beautiful place by the way

68F, cloudy and moist @ 11:00, only calling for a high of 69F for the day. Showers becoming less numerous this afternoon.

Rainfall was 0.13" overnight, just enough to keep the ground moist ... (y)

Got hopper feeder refilled first thing, also scattered some for the ground feeders. Tube feeders will need refilled today.

Abundant goldfinches have been putting on a show out at the feeders.

Got new forsythia bed sprayed from the south end up to the power pole, which is just shy of 1/2 way. Took just under 1/2 gallon and emptied that sprayer out.

Refilled both 1 gallon glyphosate sprayers.

Moved the old deck boards from around back with the forks on the Kubota to up in front of the shop.

Was going to go down to Salineville and pick up the last of the diesel yesterday but the owner had plans and wasn't going to be home so that will have to be rescheduled.

Instead I took the battery-operated string trimmer up and trimmed around the oak trees along the road. Raked up all the debris from that and took it over to the compost pile. Still need to spray around those and mulch again.

Also trimmed back a large multifora rose that was growing up out of the evergreen shrubs that surround the gas meter and hauled the debris over to the brush pile at the edge of the woods.

Got new cup/phone holder installed on the Cub.

Once that was done I swapped the forks for the bucket on the Kubota and went down to the woods and gathered up the bags of concrete (now hardened ... 🤬) that were sitting on the nice tarp a neighbor gave me and took those over and dumped them in front of the barn.

Then used the Cub and the dump cart and retrieved that tarp and brought it back to the house and got it washed off.

Got a couple of fuel filters ordered from Amazon for the diesel dispensing pump along with a 2" camlock ---> 3/4 MGH cap which will be used to fully drain any IBC totes.

UPS delivered the last of The Woman's clothing items from Macy's. She said all of the rest of it is going back ... which is the reason She's no longer allowed to order clothing off Amazon (never fits, always a problem, has to be returned, etc. ...)

Just go shopping at a brick and mortar store, ends up being a lot easier in the long run.

Last item was getting all the fence posts tarped with the 2 tarps.

With that done I knocked off for the day.

Thinking today might be a good day to run down to Menards and pick up the roofing tar for the fence posts. Also need to grab some 1/2" rebar to stake cages around various trees and shrubs.

Maybe take an inventory of seeds and see if there is anything we need and swing by the garden center and see what they have available in the way of plants for the garden.

Otherwise, see what else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent day ... (y)

Ken really has worked hard on his place and made it very special, can see the changes over last few years.
growing corn is above my paygrade or ability, never had much luck.
maybe I'll trade some tomatoes for an ear of Ken's corn...

what a morning. Getting the rv home was fine but had a miserable experience
with first uber driver. He left my home and the school zone lights were flashing away at elementary school
near me, where I went to school. Everyone goes very slow past this little school. This guy lets off the gas, never brakes and
is doing about 30 in a 15.
I tell him nicely school zone friend, please slow down
he didn't, just laughed it off. I asked him again to please slow down, he was doing about 25 then.
Then he went into a rage, started screaming at me how I am the one bad person in 10,000 and why should he have to listen to me, so I told him please take me home. Which he did ranting and raving the whole way. It's like he didn't understand what a school zone was at all.
so I called another time, got a super nice guy and a pleasant drive, like always.
I think the first guy was high on something, he simply went off on me. Terribly unprofessional and my review said so.
and now my phone and email are blinking from Uber, regarding unsafe driving. And they tried to charge me 11 bucks for turning around within a mile and taking me back which the driver said he wanted to. I recognized an unsafe situation and just quietly asked him to take me home.
sure is luck of the draw
definitely will decline if that guy every responds again.

light rain out, as expected. Might go see what I can putter with in the garage, and start putting a few things back in rv.

Good morning! 61˚F heading to 101˚, with a SW wind and cloudless sky. The big news this week is the early 100˚ temps with Wednesday the hottest topping out at 105˚. Needless to say we are under a heat advisory from Today at 1pm till Wednesday at 9PM. A full pool is starting out at 73˚F.

Will try to get the Fountain flowing again this morning before the heat settles in. I got off all the bubbled pool paint that did not stick from last year out with a pressure washer. I just need to wipe it down and fill it up and connect the filter.

Edit: Forgot to post this morning, now at 2pm 93˚F heading to 100˚. Brisk SW winds. Pool Temp up to 79˚. Front courtyard fountain is up and running!

Edit edit: at 5pm 101˚ truck temp.
In the yard by the pool Tempest weather station 99˚.
Pool water temp 80˚.

Trip to Menards completed.

Picked up the 4.75 gallons (because of course it’s 4.75 gallons and not 5) of roofing asphalt along with four 10 foot sticks of rebar. Got those unloaded up at the shop.

Grabbed a cheap moisture meter for the wood posts as well.

Also swung by tractor supply on the way down picked up 200 tube insulators and a twist fencing tool.

Just finished off yesterday’s Chipotle.

Need to water tomato seedlings and go trim off the seed heads on the rhubarb.

Then probably head up to the shop.
