L4N I always thought first on race day was what ford stood for. Was always Ford fan

F**kin' old rebuilt dodge.
I am not loyal to any brand that was manufactured in north America.
This Dodge is my third one since 1966. And a Jeep Wrangler.
I've had 4 Fords and 2 Lincolns.
Also 3 Pontiacs, 1 Chevy, 2 Buicks and a Packard.
And a Morris Oxford.
18 cars and pickups in 58 years.

rs, IF you have a metal 5 gallon can you can pour some of the roofing tar into it and heat it up to about 400°F and stuff your posts into the molten tar. When tar gets hot it expands, that is why I suggest a second can.

Do you wish you had that Morris back? I didn't see many but always thought they had charm.

This is rubberized asphaltic roofing tar (with fibers)

It’s already liquid and designed to be applied with a brush.

Not sure how it would fare with being heated.

Got to thinking about what to do with all that DOM seamless pipe I got from my friend.

A another set of sawhorses (but nicer) could always be useful.

So I got the 1st piece cut in two for that.

Just remembered I forgot to trim the heads off the rhubarb though … so back down to the house for that.

In other news, I finally located my 35’ Stanley FatMax steel tape …

Don, wow that's hot for May, time to float in your pool

other than crazy uber driver, today went well and pieces fell into place, tow hitch being installed tomorrow
and new tires on Thursday. And off I go with car and trailer on Friday to the Catskills in NY.
just in time delivery on new tow vehicle. I'm only pulling about 3500 total so should be easy drive.
I admit I was disappointed to find this six year old car did not have adaptive cruise. At least it has regular cruise but in lines of traffic,
"radar cruise" as they called it is very nice to have.

running out of steam, think I'll be getting into my book and falling asleep early.

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 8.3C and it's presently 17.9C, mostly clear with a slight breeze.

A nice, restful day was had yesterday. No possum in the evening, but evidence [droppings] that it, or a different one, was out there overnight.

Today is 'into town' day for groceries. I'll stop by the Church Hall and donate about 10 pair of winter socks that have been taking up room in my top bureau drawer.

I'll probably need to put a fire on again for the next few days. This Autumn has been 'warmer' than usual, certainly dryer.
