54 going to 72. Felt great outside doing morning chores.

Happy, your project looks like it is really coming along.

BEF, great train pix. Ashland is our closest big town and has a couple of restaurants with dining right by the tracks, and an Amtrak station that is quite popular. Fun to watch the trains.

Took Della to the vet yesterday morning and she got her post-surgery "release" to go hiking again...so we stopped at the trail on the way home and did a good one...her best friend, Kai was there, so some good play time. Then mowed until I was afraid I would run out of diesel...need to go fill the jug again.

good morning, 52 going to 62 and no rain

Nice HS graduation ceremony for GD. She was very happy. Now the focus is getting ready for college. She is accepted and the financials are lined up to support it

Saw the fox yesterday with a rabbit in the mouth heading down to the den I am sure. The raccoons are making a mess on the patio at night. Hope they will find other places to go to.

Happy, just be careful out there, particularly if working alone. That's a big project, soon where you will look back at it
with a smile.
Frits, that must feel good seeing GD growing up and on the right track. You really help a lot of people.

trying to get my nephew with home in Catskills to put an rv hookup on his garage. That would enable a nice trip this summer.
beat the heat, go to the mountains. His place is only 40 minutes from my old friend's cabin so logistics work.

Good Morning
50° and a hint that there is a sun above these clouds. Supposed go get into the upper 60’s and partly sunny with a chance of thunderstorm this evening.

Yesterday was cold, damp and miserable outside all day. I went on a campaign of removing the wheel locks on all of our vehicles and replacing them with standard lug nuts. Interesting that the Prius, RAV4 and Lexus all take the same nut.
In the process, I discovered that I don’t have the “key” for the Lexus wheels, which is exactly why I wanted to remove them all. I’ve got a multi pronged approach to getting them off. First will be to pound a 12pt socket onto it, and hit that with the impact. If that doesn’t work, Amazon is bringing me a set of sockets made to remove them today. If that doesn’t work, I’ll weld a nut to the locking lug. That will definitely work.

Had a nice big fire in the fireplace burning all afternoon, let it burn down to nice bed of coals by bedtime.

But the wheel locks will have to wait, I’m off to Burlington, VT this morning. Another one of those trips where the drive to the airport and back is longer than the flight. But I should be back in plenty of time for a round of Lugnut roulette.

Not sure if I’m playing music tonight

GD is special to us because we took her in when 4 years old to live with us while getting her mother into long term rehab treatment. Having lived in a basement for the first 4 years of her life she was quite the challenge to teach essential skills that other kids that age would have. She was amazed at the little things that we took for granted that she never had experienced. But she made great progress and learned to drive the RTV and had fun around the farm and neighborhood

Good Morning to All who Celebrate! Currently 57° heading to a high of 63° rain has finally stopped, cool and calm out there right now.

Slower week this week, can report that parents made it back safely from the beach. With rental season just starting, they're stuck here until it passes. Message from my realtor this morning, 17 acres with OGM rights. Need to set up a plan to see it sooner rather than later as I'm sure it will go quickly. Maybe subdivided? Not sure. Pictures are unclear.

Sister and her husband and the little guy are on their way here starting this afternoon. Need to make sure to remind my brother in law to bring his golf clubs. Haven't swung a club in weeks thanks to the weather and my schedule. Even if the weather is poor, we'll hit the range at least.

Only thing else on the docket is a lot of mowing. Catch up time.

Mostly, Safe Travels!
Phil, more incredible work. I am deeply impressed with your craftsmanship.
Drew, hope your nephew caves and gets that RV hookup. Escaping to the mountains during a summer heatwave sounds wonderful.

All not specified, Y'all stay safe out there and be well!
Prayers for those ailing and recovering!

Morning all, 55 to 66 and after almost 2" the rain has stopped , I hope.
Back to work on the swale today.

Can't believe it was son's last choir concert.

My cousins wifes sister died, 48 days after her husband. Not good for the family. Feel so bad for her, both really nice people.

Wow Phil, very cool work.

Have a safe trip Mostly.

M7040 great getting GD on the right path, kids are tough, your help with last for generations

Be well,

on this day, way back in 2008,. anchored out on Sassafras River in Maryland, watching the boats go in and out.
Diesel had gone up to 4 dollars a gallon, from .73 when we bought the boat, so it was soon sold. 13 years with that boat, including
three years living aboard in S. Florida. Very, very expensive hobby now.

foodshopping done, ready for the weekend, back in grubby clothes and going out to get muddy with veggies, lots to pick.
