good morning all
long night, heavy thunderstorms came through, 1.62 inches on gauge,
power went out at 1am, was raining hard enough sump pump running hard, so even with battery
backup on sump, I needed to start the gen. So out into pouring rain I went and fired up gen.
could not get back to sleep, so drinking cup of coffee now and sure planning on a nap this afternoon.

the little gizmo I have on the electrical panel to alarm when the street power comes back on
failed to work. I replaced the battery in it, not sure that was the problem. I only found out power was back on when I logged
on and found emails saying power was restored.

so that didn't work right, and I checked on the sump pump and it looks like the plastic piping, the very expensive plastic piping
the plumber put in, actually cracked in the center of the pipe, maybe a pencil size, and was spraying water all over the place, thankfully most
staying in sump. I think some gorilla tape will fix it, need to dry it off first and sump pump will be pumping all day today.
The battery backup part was working hard when I checked on it, so thankfully that works. But why a pipe gets a hole in its side
is strange. I need to eyeball it better. Half asleep at 1am with a flashlight is not enough data...

when you've owned boats and rvs, one thing you definitely have is plenty of emergency repair tape. So until pipe is replaced I will apply
some Appalachian engineering and stop the leak.

getting light out, yup, Lake Drew is up. Probably won't go down very quickly either since we just had a 3 inch storm days before.

50 this morning with 80s expected. Probably a late afternoon pop up or two.
Not to much yesterday. Too muddy to get much done. I did harvest some steel out of the river still laying there from Helene.
Made room in the garage for the Buick.

This is a rare sight around here.
1" hail was a possibility so I got everything under cover.
Walked the dog a couple of times. Surprises me how hard walking is when I don't do much walking for a couple of days.
Nothing special planned for today but I guess I better get to it, instead of playing with settings LOL

Time for a second cup.

Good morning, the low is 39 and going to a high of 57°F. Wind N 11 mph. Cloudy.

It appears to me that Miss Duck is pretty choosey. If she is not careful she will be out of luck.

Drew, I leave one of the lights on in the house and when the power comes back on that indicates to me that it has happened.

My SiriusXM Canada contract ends this coming June 30th. I will cancel. There is two ways I will do that, one phone them up and cancel and two dispute any charge by them on my CC.

I think I will grab me a power nap this morning.

good morning, 55 going to 64, rained overnight about 2 inches, more rain later today, neighbor pond did not leak yea

stacked wood in the morning, cleaned air filters on the tractor, tightened the AC belt and fan belt to get rid of a little chirping.
Figured out I need to get a return oil filter to change inside the hydraulic oil tank on the excavator

Saw the goslings swimming in the pond for the first time

Lots of ticks around

ordering storage tubes and rod oven, thanks agree good plan

Good Morning,
Vt, 52 to start going to 56. Raining steady but not blowing wind, so not too bad. Got a nice maiden voyage in on the lake yesterday, nice day with some clouds but not too bad on the temp.

Engineer, prayers to the trapped fire fighters !

Looks like a day out in the shop with lousy weather.

Still working on the first cup but may get another very soon. Hope all have a good day

Also like 6011 & 7018...7018 flows nice like dime.

For general repair and fabrication I much prefer 7014 over 7018. No where near as “fussy” about storage or restarting an arc.

Got some errands to run this morning chance of storm storm today maybe not. Everything soaking wet here get gas mail, oil filters fuel filters job to look at shrubs to plant wonder what gets done.

I haven’t welded since 1992 forgot most of what I knew

Good morning! 71˚ cloudy heading to the upper 80s, no chance of rain, N wind.

The Germans are safely back home and I will start back on the dry riverbed project. Water volleyball this afternoon.
