Good Morning to All Who Celebrate! Currently 74° heading to a high of 83°, sunny and dry as usual, but there is a chance of rain at some point this weekend allegedly.

No post on Friday, was up and out the door by 4am to be at the other store by 7. Then I was there all day until around 6pm, came home and collapsed into bed. Still need to go back tomorrow to finish up a few odds and ends to get them fully moved into the new building.

Saturday got my data transferred over to the phone my girlfriend gifted me, so there's a bit of a learning curve to go from android to apple. Still getting things moved and squared away. 36" pickaroon came in as well this weekend. Need to get to felling the trees, but that might have to wait until it finally cools off.

This Thursday I get the Lipoma on my arm sliced off, need to call them and make sure I can still drive as the folks will be heading off for another weekend at the beach.

Then on Saturday I need to set up a showing with the realtor. I have a good feeling about this place, so we'll see how it looks. Previous owner was a contractor and the only thing wrong with it is that the roof is old. (20 years). So we'll see.

That's about it from my end! Fully enjoying all the pictures and events!

Y'all stay safe out there and be well!
Prayers for all Ailing and Recovering!

79F and sunny @ 12:15, heading up to around 83F for the day's high. Low this morning was 49F.

Rain due in tonight with a cold front.

Got hopper feeder and both tube feeders filled up and some seed scattered for the ground feeders on Saturday. Now out of safflower and sunflower hearts.

Also phone bill paid.

Then it was back to coating posts ... did that yesterday as well.

Think I'm getting close to having enough posts coated to do the east and north sides.

Before I started that yesterday, I ran down to Tractor Supply yesterday to look at a 4000' roll of 12.5 gauge high tensile wire that was on sale. Did some calc's on my planned fence wiring configuration and the amount of wire required is over 4,600' ...

Called before I went to make sure they had it, lady I talked to verified it was in stock but said it looked really bad and i might not want it. Said if I decided I could use it they would discount it further so I ran down to have a look. It was every bit as bad as she made it out to be ... and then some. Decided to pass.

I have a fairly good amount of 17 gauge galvanized wire most of which is in decent shape I think so may just go with that. Or 14 gauge. Not like we're keeping cattle in or bears out. Either of those will be easier to work with but need to pick up several thousand feet more.

Got all the arbs watered yesterday as well, 2 gallons each. Buffalo now needs refilled.

Also made up a Menards order and got that placed. It is now ready to be picked up.

Woman ran out and picked up some bacon and made BLT's with the last of the tomatoes, I had 3. Also baked up one of the Honey Baby winter squash with butter and brown sugar which was very tasty.

Getting the post holes covered and tools gathered up before the rain arrives is the major item on the agenda for today.

Also take compostables up to the pile and garbage up to the cans at the road.

Then start mowing the front if there's any available time left.

Beyond that just see what comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent Monday ... (y)

some days you luck out.
I really did get the best site at Apache campground in Myrtle Beach, right down next to the beach and a private beach access. Awesome.
trying to rest before I go for a walk, really worn out by the drive down here.

Coastal 17 is better...with more beltways around cities but still a zillion stop lights.
lot of times hitting the brakes hard when lights change on you.
might consider going back North on 95 instead, though I swore I would not take that road again. But even if it takes longer, I can stay on cruise.

got all my hookups done, a/c going, putting up some extra reflectors on windows to keep the sun out. 85 outside, 75 in here now, no complaints. Told my friends I'd see them tomorrow, am kinda useless after the drive, just want to nap and will be asleep early anyway. But going to take a long hot shower and this time won't worry about tank filling up.

Good (Tuesday) morning. Overnight Low of 3.8C [wind chill] and it's presently 16.8C [13C with wind chill], partly cloudy with high gusting wind. Did I mention that it's windy?

Oh, well. I'll see what I can get up to this arvo but there's nothing really 'pressing', especially with this wind. 😐

I've been listening on YouTube to a bloke named Jared Halley. An amazing vocalist who does everything, including instruments, acapella. Highly recommended!

That's about it, take care all.

Good Morning Billy,

Funny you should mention that, the last couple of weeks I have been waking up to an owl hooting outside our bedroom window 😉 Of course it’s still dark so have no idea what type of owl it is 😉
Bard Owl very distinct hoot. hoohoo--hoohoo

Morning all!
51 going to a sunny 80 today.
Wife and I will be leaving for an eight day trip tomorrow. Not sure how much internet we will have access to.
Today will be spent packing and shutting things down. I also want to make a last pass with the leaf equipment so I don't come home to foot thick leaves!
Early this morning I will clean up the shop and put everything away.
Got two projects completed. An alligator spruce and walnut art piece.

Wife said she needed a table for her house plant. I made her this butternut and cherry one. Curved and sanded the feet with various tools. The rest was all done on the lathe. She loves it! 2 foot high by 14 inches round.

That's all for now. Will check in as internet allows.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!
your work just amazes me. just one of your projects would be a months project for me, if I had a lathe.... just amazing..

Thinking about replacing my aging copper with pex.
- Anybody done that, and have any recommendations?
- Should I include manifolds?
- Also looking at a whole house filter. Anybody have experience with Water Right Sanitizer Plus?

I have a lot to learn.
I hear mice like PEX, so consider that if those pests are around..
