Morning all! 46 going to a rainy 54 then back to colder temps.
Mrs. Phil says thanks for the birthday wishes!
PM sent to Daugen. We have a state camp ground just a few miles away.

Today will be spent cooking and prepping for tomorrow. My job will be grilling some garden fresh beets and staying out of her way!
I have a quick trip to the post office to drop off a package also.
I know somebody mentioned our Christmas tree. Here is one.

Freshly made this weekend.. About 35 high by 18 wide.
turned the top and base along with all 12 ornaments. Front and back shown.
Still a work in progress. Need to do something with the ornament holders for the circle parts. Plywood tree.

55 outside right now, will get into the lower 70's today.

Have a lot of family here, doing an early celebration. Got the dishwasher running for the third time. LOL. Just finished pots and pans by hand. Fun times. Looks to be a great day for entertaining.

Picked up a tick last evening after I rescued the game cams. No joy on the pics and videos. Just deer. Another six-point buck showed up. Mr. beaver is moving about doing his thing in spots I had hoped were to be left alone.

Good morning, the low is 36 and going up to 41°F. Wind E 14 gusting to 20 mph. Rain. Snow coming tomorrow. So far they are guessing a couple of inches.

i am doing the 'usual' today...Energy conservation.

headed downtown to get to local floral shop when they open at 9am.
Need to get some flowers to take to family dinner tomorrow.,
figured better get there early, going to be a seriously busy day

I'll find that campground Phil mentioned and let the software tell me if it works.
If the nights are cold I need a 30 amp hookup though I can almost always do without
a septic connection for several days. I'm only full of it here...

Good morning tbn folks! Blowing and snowing here this am in Houghton MI with just a dusting of snow on the ground overnight. Its 34 out now and going down iver the day, all the Great lakes are getting sieche warnings and boats have came off the unprotected lake area's. I noted just 3 boat under power on Lake Superior but hugging the east and north shores.. Good thing we got our winter wheels on! Dearest thinks she'll get some cancellations and have a shortened day.

The most exciting part of the trip was waking up next to Brazilian war ship in Mexico.

GM Don, that is very interesting, makes the cruise a few steps above normal Hope you and your wife are having a Super time

Did manage sleeping in bed. Was hard finding the less pain position. Finally flat on back seemed to work best

Sitting on side of bed with space heater blowing on me.
Need to get up and going.

Wngsprd, wife and I spent lots of our dating time hiking at SNP. Oh to be young again, but retired.

Morning all, 53 to 63 and more rain, got 1.25" already in the last day or so.
Did not get leaves pushed as it starting raining at 2, not the forecasted 5pm
I did paper thin slice a mess of apples for the wife to bake into 2 very nice pies for thanksgiving.
Son came home yesterday so we went out to dinner.
Today, busy with the day job then turkey day and Friday off.

We used to drive over and hour to pick up the pre-made version of this, wife figured out the recipe and now made at home. The last time we drove all the way for one, they had run out, even though we called to tell them we were coming to get one.
I hand peel and slice 8 large apples paper thin to get them to kind of melt into the pie, wife assembles and makes the topping and bakes. She uses less fat/sugar so they don't bother me too much.
