my stepbrother in Aldie VA with the Model As sent this out to family
he is not one to photoshop so I wonder how he did it.
think that one would break a spring
almost looks too perfect
won't be the first time for fake foam pumpkins

sadly way too much of youtube is fake.
particularly some of the nice stuff I like to watch, like animal rescue.
what will clutch at your heart strings the most and of course, ring my bell
for monetization

local flower ship didn't have enough redimades, granted last minute, so I put in an order for
a little arrangement to be picked up this afternoon.
Meantime right after lunch I pick up my landlady and take her for a ride up the river and back

Looks like AI generated to me. It is pretty easy to do these days, but harder to do well enough to pass muster. To me, a number of things stand out in that image; but the spring height alone is a giveaway, as is the differences in lighting, contrast, and focus between the various objects. The corn tassels are pretty amusing, too.

Off to clean the RV up a bit, and then I'll see.

All the best,

Peter

Good Tractor Afternoon,
thanks Ron. Ice definitely working better than heat.
Dennis, my wife was having lots of back problems, the thing that worked the best was cold packs applied to the pain area, not heat. And the doctor she finally ended up with said that this is the best treatment along with back massage in the office. She is so much better than she was 🙏

Good (Thursday) morning. Overnight Low of 11C and it's presently 14.6C [heading to 18C], fairly clear with some wind.

Everything accomplished yesterday.

Today, I'm leaving in a few minutes for an Endocrinologist appointment in Launceston. After that I'll swing by one of 'our' major department stores "Harvey Norman" to partake in their Black Friday (really a week or pre-Christmas) sale. A new smart TV may be in order... mostly because technology keeps on progressing.

That's about it, take care all.

had a nice drive upriver with landlady, Frenchtown NJ is a very pretty river town that has
definitely gone upmarket. Nice view coming home the PA side, Delaware River is low and all kinds of new
sandbars and islands popping up in the river.

then worked on my New England rv trip, finding campgrounds near folks, and made good progress there.
chuckling wondering if I can get a drone pic of Thomas's bears
and not one of it eating the drone...
remembered to buy another micro sd memory card for drone
last time I used it did not work right, pairing issues I think.
need to test it

now with a fresh cup of coffee powering me, down to basement to bring up xmas tree.
This year I'm bringing up every box of ornaments.
At one time my late wife had 14 large plastic red and green bins full of xmas stuff. Took up whole side of our basement.
I didn't care if it made her happy.

but I've got a huge mismatch of stuff and only want to keep the good stuff.
going to ask 12 yo daughter of nephew if she wants to help me decorate my tree and go through lots of ornaments.
have zero idea if she would find that interesting.
they only live ten minutes away so I can go get her or her Mother can drop her off.
have hired her older brother so want to give her opportunities.

no I don't have an app for that

Kyle; "Friend had to get his done operated on. Got a sports surgeon in Houston to do it. Put it in a sling and couldn't lift anything for months. Much better now. He can do 12oz curls better than ever.
Your beer comes in 12oz bottles doesn't it?

Good Evening
Today’s weather was all over the place, misty and overcast, partly sunny, raining cats and dogs. Temps didn’t vary a lot stayed between 48 and 57. Supposed to plunge into the 30’s overnight.

Today started with a trip to Costco to take advantage of the “executive” membership opening an hour early. When we got there just before 9:00am, there was a long line, the length of the store to get in. But it moved quickly, and we were back in the car less than a half hour later with our plunder. The big ticket item was a Dyson cordless vacuum specifically designed to deal with pet hair. Wife wanted it, but didn’t want to spend the money. I asked her what would I do if it was a tool that I perceived a need for. The good news was a Black Friday deal that saved $150.

Spent some time in the shop, made some cranberry relish for tomorrow’s festivities. We are making sausage stuffing and cooking an 18 pound fresh turkey for our contribution. The main event will be next door in our “former” dining room with the large table that we left there when we moved to the old folks home.

Morning all, 53 to 63 and more rain, got 1.25" already in the last day or so.
Did not get leaves pushed as it starting raining at 2, not the forecasted 5pm
I did paper thin slice a mess of apples for the wife to bake into 2 very nice pies for thanksgiving.
Son came home yesterday so we went out to dinner.
Today, busy with the day job then turkey day and Friday off.

Be well,

We used to drive over and hour to pick up the pre-made version of this, wife figured out the recipe and now made at home. The last time we drove all the way for one, they had run out, even though we called to tell them we were coming to get one.
I hand peel and slice 8 large apples paper thin to get them to kind of melt into the pie, wife assembles and makes the topping and bakes. She uses less fat/sugar so they don't bother me too much.

They look good Ken. The wife’s working on her apple pie now. Here’s the pumpkin, cherry, and brownies.

Man, I better get to driving if I'm going to drop by all y'all's places tomorrow for the great 2025 Thanksgiving dessert tour!!!

Got the fuel leak fixed on the Steiner beast. Just needed a radiator clamp tightened up a bit. Son mowed the yard weeds with it today.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. The Good: I got the Deere LT180 starting like it is supposed to. Hear me out. For 2 years since I got the transmission repaired, it just was so hard to start. I could crank and crank and crank, having to let the starter cool down. I was guessing that I needed a new ignition module $$$. Here's why. It would only start after turning over the starter for a while, and then the moment I let off the key switch, it would sometimes fire off and start (like it was lacking electric energy to fire off the plugs while the starter was pulling it's draw). So today, after grinding for 15-20 seconds an idea popped off in my little brain. Just check it with some starter fluid. The way the intake is situated on the 17hp Kawi engine, it is not easy to shoot in ether. So I took off the first cover and the air filter. Sprayed in a pinch and she fired off immediately. Then I tried to manually move the choke's butterfly and it was STUCK. Pulling on the choke cable, I could see that the butterfly was not moving but the small steel wire hooked to it was absorbing the pull with no movement on the butterfly. I almost had to use pliers to get it unstuck. Put some lube on it and got it freely moving. Pulled choke cable, hit the starter, and instant start. The BAD: OK, Great except that I was trying to pull it out of the barn with the phone to one ear, pulling on the back leaf bag rack...the hood had already been upright but decided to go over the front end, crack and break off. The UGLY: Now I have no hood to mount back on it. These plastic hoods don't last forever. This one is 20 years old. Mower works great, tranny works great. Just looks ugly. I've never had a butterfly stick like that. The choke cable pull felt the same even though the butterfly was stuck.

It sure helps having choke to start a cold engine.
