View this morning out one of the windows of my church. It was founded in 1694. Some of the cemetery headstones are Revolutionary war dead from 250+ years ago in the Battle of the Brandywine, which was the largest battle in terms of war participants of the Revolutionary War.
Off in the distance, there’s a 200+ YO Sycamore. Flag at half mast for the slain National Guardsman. May God accept her into your Holy Kingdom.
The red building & barn behind the trees served as Lafayette’s Headquarters from the Revolutionary War.

I really struggle with the future outlook of our once great nation.
I believe the Patriots buried in the cemetery are feeling the same way.

Good worship, good lunch at the usual place with my usual order.
Let snagglepuss in earlier, then when she jumped on my lap, i discovered her legs and paws all muddy. She got thrown back out, but did let her back in to the garage.

Up almost all night. arm hurting a little less. very sleepy. I think i aggrevated arm with all the travel activity this week. I know hauling the 22# turkey up from the basement fridge using that arm didn't help, not did filling the pellet stove. The arm feels like the hurt when you get a flu shot, the shoulder pain is worse when it flares up.

We have tickets for a christmas show tuesday in Lancaster, debating about driving up tomorrow and staying the night, since projected to get 1-3"snow monday night into tuesday afternoon.

Christmas came early in 2018
if you don't already have it, I hope someday you all
get your dream tractor
this is what happens when you don't have a wife to say "really?"
particularly when I already had a wonderful Kubota
this one simply talked to me, and back then, this was an early model,
the whole loaded tractor (not the implements) was 50 grand. I believe it's at least 20k more now.

I was one happy fellow.
Hmmm, not sure I’ll be upgrading when I get my Lottery Tractor, really enjoying the cab on my recently acquired Bobcat which I pretty much got at insistence of wife. I suspect you are correct regarding price.

As a young boy, my Camp King with 4 blades was my most prized possession. Had several Swiss Army knives during Army years. Haven’t carried a pocket knife since 9-11. Often have one of those folding utility knives in pocket when working around here, but not really the same.

for many years I carried a small knife, mostly for opening boxes.
Lost a couple nice ones early on at the airport, forgetting to take out of pants.
I preferred a lighter smaller knife with a nice wood body.

wonder if the rise in box cutters made knives less needed

Have two benchmade knives always with me one wood one not

Good (Sunday), first day of Advent, morning. Overnight Low of 6C and it's presently only 9.9C, overcast, raining yet fairly calm. There was 6.0mm in the gauge @ 0700.

Yesterday I was able to get to the Church and changed the 'colours' over to purple, plus assemble the Advent wreath/candles on top of the baptismal font. I then topped the ute off with petrol, returned home and managed to Z-turn mulch Paddock #5 before it started to rain.

I'm off to Church in a short while and then the rest of the day is His.

That's about it, take care all.
Yes, we changed colors too. Looked really nice today.

The emblem was printed, it was 1mm thick, and flush with the surface.
I almost got the Core One, but got the Bambu X1-C instead, largely because the shipping on the Prusa was very expensive.
As far as multicolor, I have 2 AMS’ giving me the capability of 8 colors, But generally use one with 2 black and 2 white so they don’t run out.

As far as cool things to print, learning to 3D model ( in my case with Autocad Fusion) has been the greatest challenge.
That's a really nice printer. I need to get better at Fusion. What is sad is, being in education now, I can get pretty much free most all Cad/design software. I have a Fusion account, and maybe a Solidworks account. We teach Fusion right now, but 2 professors want to switch over to Solidworks. But they currently use Fusion along with the CAM side of it to let students do some cnc programs. We don't run the programs except on screen, and they get checked and graded.
Real machining takes too long, and students can crash anything with a button or handle.

Kyle,
I forgot to mention that when doing multiple colors on a single head 3D printer, the process takes a LOT longer as on every layer with a color change, the nozzle has to be purged and reloaded with the next color.
This is where a multi head printer has a huge advantage.
I hope to do some designs for some cool chess pieces and use multi color heads on the new Prusa to test it out. I would like to buy my son a printer, but I brought home an old crummy one that didn't work well and he lost interest. Hope I didn't ruin the fun for him. If he can design stuff, within reason, I can print stuff.

That's easy, I'm normal, everyone else is only partially normal and some not at all normal. :)
Love it!

66°F and 0 rain

TDay leftover pretty much taken care of. Dogs will be enjoying for a few days. We will be enjoying turkey soup.

I have a new role - doggy chaperone. My little 9 1/2 month old girl apparently coming into heat. With Makani being an intact male, need to have one of them in view. Crated Makana overnight in the big crate for 1st time. She was good.

Funny how we learn things unexpectedly. Local hospital recently changed to a new data provider and has been encouraging setting up account, so I did. Wandering around I found the records from my Nov visit where it was suggested by CAT scan that I had passed a kidney stone. Decided to read the full report.
Found:
BONES: There is bilateral L5 spondylolysis with grade 2 L5 on S1
spondylolisthesis. There is a chronic mild T12 compression deformity.

Hmm, what does that mean???
From AI:
The findings indicate specific structural issues in your lower and middle back. You have stress fractures on both sides of the fifth lumbar vertebra, which has caused it to slip forward by 26-50% over the top of the sacrum (L5 on S1), and an old, mild fracture in a mid-back vertebra (T12).

Guess that pretty well explains what can be rather dibilitating back pain. Think I should forward report to the VA, as it most likely goes back to my infantry days and that 100lb rucksack.

Have to chuckle reading about Drew’s New England trip. Good thing he ends up in Vermont. Had suspected a western route meant up thru CN, MA, VT, And return more easterly, not NY. Will be a great trip for sure.

Easy day planned, watch Football and keep eye on my 4 legged wards.

If anyone interested, DuckDuckGo has a $40 off bundle offer good until 12/2. Includes VPN. Been using the free to get TBN, but gonna try this one.
Also got another Eufy s340, $109.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great tractor day
Cut a hole for the tail in it and put a pampers diaper on her so when you fall asleep.
Sorry about your back. Make sure you have a good suspension seat in your tractor. Worth their weight/cost in reduced back pain.

Wow, nice view and a lot of history there. I pray for our country too. Glad to hear 6 new young members.

Took my autistic daughter for a long country ride yesterday. Stopped at a grocery store to get her some sparkling apple cider. She loves that stuff. Also stopped at DQ for ice cream treats.

Back to work tomorrow. Not sure exactly what I'll start on, but I'm sure something will break and I'll then know exactly what I have to work on.

Our football game didn't go like I wanted, and the opposing fans are ragging on us pretty bad. They are known for that. Oh well, still gotta teach young students to learn how to learn about being engineers.

Wind makes it chilly outside. 44wind chill with 12-20mph gusts. We got almost an inch of rain. Can y'all believe that is the most significant rain we've had since the July 4th weekend on our land IIRC. The ground soaked it up.
