I got almost a third of the way through it and had to shut it off...just not my bag as far as movies go...my neighbor said she thought it was OK...Normally after reading the synopses I would not even have started watching...my only real interest was to see the local scenery and how it was represented...!

I tried googling "The best movies of all time" and believe it or not, depending on which list you look at, opinions differ considerably. I have seen most of those listed...which almost always include "Citizen Kane" and "West Side Story", two movies I have never been able to watch all the way through. I personally like "Treasure of the Sierra Madre", "The Quiet Man", The Wizard of Oz", "Gone with the Wind", "White Heat", "Sunset Boulevard", "Vertigo", and others.

There are a lot of really good older movies...many are or were considered to be the some of the best ever but I think a lot of that has to do with our age and when we first saw them...

I never saw a Hitchcock move that I didn't like several of them were special...likewise with films by the Coen Brothers and Quentin Tarantino...

A few of my personal favorites are:

'The Usual Suspects'
'No Country for Old Men'
'Pulp Fiction'

I am not usually a fan of remakes...but one film that is a remake and is also one of my all time favorites is 'Payback' (with Mel Gibson)...it is a remake of 'Point Break' with Lee Marvin and Angie Dickerson...an unusual case of where the remake is much better than the original...IMO...

I happened to see a Tommy Lee Jones movie, "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada", on Amazon Prime the other day. Some of it is filmed on his ranch. It is a little bizarre but I thought it was a good modern Western.

I think one of the best Westerns I ever saw was "Tom Horn" with Steve McQueen. I thought it was so authentic, that I bought the book it was based upon; "Tom Horn...by Himself". It was a great book.
