My mom used to watch Lawrence welk

As did my grandparents every evening. Reruns I think. Drove me nuts when small. News at 7:00, Lawrence Welk at 7:30, lights out by 8:15.

On a trip to Florida last month we passed the Suwannee river. Never knew it was in Florida.

Up until rather recently, The Lawrence Welk show was still being shown. Maybe it is on a different time I have just missed it. My parents and grand parents would watch that show. Never knew why. :laughing:

When my parents visit and I see the show is on, I will make sure it plays for them.

While my wife roll our eyes at the show, I really like see it on the air. The funny thing is that if you watch the show, most of the audience, even back in the episodes from the 60's, are old, and the people watching today are in that demographic. It seem that The Lawrence Welk Show attracts people of a certain age irregardless of the decade or century but I don't see the generation that like Gangsta Rap watching the Champagne Man when they get older. :shocked::laughing:

I sure hope Bubble Man stays on the air.
