Picture of Norman.
I believe he took some pictures of me with his digital camera. I know that he took a couple of 12 second movies. He is going to burn them onto a CD for me. If there are some still pictures I will post one or two of my ugly mug with a S E grin.

Congratulations, Mark! It looks like you've hung in there and finally got just the tractor you wanted. I look at all your trees and realize you have to be very cautious or the canopy will be "history." I have even more interference with small oak trees and limbs branching out close to the ground. I need to build armor plating for my fender lights because they take so much abuse. I always wonder if other folks who use their tractors in the woods suffer the same consequences. Your tractor is a beauty an I'm sure you will love it. I've also been impressed with how hard your dealer worked to get you exactly what you wanted. That's a very good sign. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Jim,
Thanks /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Owning my Boomer is indeed a dream come true. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I feel like a teenager that just copped his first feel... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Actually my yard is Very open and most all of the work I do for the association in the private lake front housing development is on well maintained roads, so my tractor will seldom ever ever be near to many trees / branch's that could cause damage. But I also don't know where my future of tractoring is going to take me.

I am very pleased with my dealer. The delivery delays were annoying but not the end of the world.. I mean what is a couple of days when I will have years of enjoyment.

The one thing that It Never Dawned on me to mention to my salesman was to have the rear tires set in most widest position for stability.. Considering the weight of the tractor and the weight of the loaded rear tires, I don't believe it is something I have the tools or ability to handle alone. So I will talk to him and see what can be done. It is nothing I need immediatly, so maybe someday if it needs to go in for service etc. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif "I hope it never needs warrenty work" /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
They can move the tires out for me.

Mark Where did you end up buying the tractor at? I am looking at NH dealers in New Hampshire for tc33d. Yours is a good looking unit!

Mike,
I purchased my tractor through MB Tractor in Tilton NH. My salesman was David Kendall 286-4101. They also have a location in Plaistow, NH.
To be supportive and very honest. The BEST price I received by far, was from Scammon Tractor in Saco Maine.
I am very happy with my decision to go with MB, there close proximity was a large factor in my decision.
If I can be of any more assistance, don't be afraid to ask.
My email address is in my profile.

HI Mark- I am going to Tilton next week. I went to MB in Plaistow last week to look at b2910. I like the NH tc29d or tc33d better. Thanks for the info on the dealer in Maine-I will be calling them also. I need a couple of tractors so it may be worth a road trip if the price is much better in Maine. I'll tell Dave yousaid HI and good things about them. Mike

Mark, you're going to have to repaint that green thing on the back of your tractor! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Mike,
I was thinking the very same thing, although it is an interesting contrast in color. I think I will leave it green for a while. I don't want to forget where my roots came from. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well I stopped into my John Deere dealer yesterday. I had ordered a couple of things for my 950 ( tach & cable ) I wanted to see if they had arrived yet. I am just going to pass them on to the new owner. When I informed them that I had sold the tractor ( I had purchased it from them ) the same salesman said that if he had known I was selling it he would have sent some people my way. He then asked me if I was planning on buying another tractor. I informed him that I already had and had bought a blue one. You could see his face instantly change. He asked why I hadn't come to him to get a quote on a new green one. I politely said that I didn't want a green one that I wanted a blue one.
He said, I don't like the blue ones. I said, you sell green & orange, your not supposed to like the blue one's. He said, Well I wish you luck with it. I have talked to Alot of guys who have owned blue ones and nobody liked them, they all had problems with them, there no good.
I said, you mean problems like All the ones John Deere had with the 4000 series? "to which I got no answer" I said that if you spend enought time around people who own and love tractors ( TBN ) you will find that all the colors have there occasional problem and that everybody has their favorite brand for their own reasons. There is no one tractor brand better then another and it is merely owner / buyer preferance. I just prefered to own a blue one this time around.
Although he remained polite, you could easily tell that he was Very Put Out. His stance, his voice, his demeaner just made it very clear. Oh Well !! I guess you just can't please everybody. And all you blue owners out there, it is now official from atleast one JD dealer. Our tractors are junk and maybe we should get rid of them. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
