Tooo many to list!!
Looking at ordering a brand spanking new Corn Pro 14,000 22' + 5' deck over and I want to make sure I get the options right on this! This SHOULD be my keep forever trailer!!

What do you folks thing about two drop leg jacks rather than a single? Can they just end up being a real pain on un-even ground or is it worth having the stability if the trailer is dropped loaded??

Other than that, I think I have it all figured out. Getting the chain box lid and a jack to raise the convertable dovetail, stand up ramp option, and may get the expanded metal in the neck.

Thanks for any jack opinions out there!!

Montanaman,
I have a 10T GN with the twin legs and I like the stablity they provide. I have not found uneven ground to be a big problem ... I just think they are more stable than the single and that's why I got them. If the ground is too uneven I just shovel a leveling spot under the leg as it only take a minute.

You might want to check on 2 speed jacks as well. I was used to them on our big rigs and when it came time to get another GN I spec'd it w/ 2 spd jacks. High gear is handy for getting up and down empty and low is GREAT when you have to drop the trailer loaded.

Go with the two jacks just for that reason.

If you have any thoughts of ever unhitching the trailer while it's loaded, get 2 jacks. I've got one of each. MUCH prefer the 2-jack version.

Thanks guys. What I was thinking but it's nice to have guys with two jacks comment that they are glad they bought their trailer that way.

This is NOT going to be a cheap trailer and I'd like to buy it right the first time!

My neighbor told me that he orders his trailers with a dedicated ground wire run to all the lights instead of using the frame as the only ground.
I don't know if this is available on the one you're looking at, but it seems that a lot of trailer elect. problems I've worked on were related to bad grounds.

One more thing, get the jack adjustable hitch. If you ever change trucks (and this trailer should outlast several) they will NOT be the same height. Having the jack adjustable hitch makes leveling the trailer a snap. Which will in turn save a lot of stress on axles and tires.

I like the idea but I know they won't do it. I've been told that Corn Pro WILL NOT do any thing that is not an available option. They build a nice trailer and have a ton of available options but if it's not on the option sheet, you aren't going to get it!!

I know that they do use some special type of electrical connectors and are said to do a better job wiring than most brands.

Yep, it will have an adjustable height gooseneck.

You are doing it right. Two speed jack and dual drop legs. Dual legs can be a pain, cuz u have to drop 2 of them, but with heavy loads or uneven ground they are well worth it. BTW... when can I borrow it? :D

Definitely get the dual jacks. I probably wouldn't have been able to jack my loaded trailer up this past weekend without the dual jacks.

Very impressive trailer, very similar to Crosley trailers, they will be around for a long time
and thanks for picture and link
The part that I did not understand was the dove tail jack, how would that be used and what do you do with it unless it folds or something?
