Got a little too brave with my new BX...

OK, this is getting crazy. I viewed your profile and you're from Denver which is my hometown. Get out of here. We owned a house in Montbello for six years when I was stationed at Buckley Air Force Base. Graduated from GHS in 84. Are you a Colorado native ???

I was actually raised in eastern Iowa, but I got out here as soon as I could. I haven't heard Dan Gable's name in years.

After seeing your BX pull that diesel locomotive, I was surprised to see one stopped by a little mud.

Back in the 70's, I hung around a Hodaka shop in Arkansas. There were two Wombat 125's that were sitting in the back, freight damaged. I talked the owner out of the two motors and took them home, and mounted them on a go-kart frame. (gearboxes and all). That was the fastest go-kart I have ever driven. Daddy let one of the neighbors drive it while I was in the Navy, and the poor kid liked to have killed himself on it. (flipped it end over end about 4 times). They were awsome dirt bikes, but the best one was a ACE 90 on a mini-bike owned by a guy in San Diego, who let me drive it. It ended up on a bench when I popped the clutch. Yikes whata ride!

Hodaka stories have fond memories!

WOO boy ! you sure are stuck ! If I didn't have the case laying aroun dlike you did, I would've dropped the backblade and crabbed my way out with FEL. Of course , it would mean going back in the mud to get the backblade, but where the fun not doing that . Anyway, now you tested your machine, I am sure you will get alot of years of enjoyment of your your new mud puppy.

Thanks for the comments on the Mud Puppy lol. The ole Case is a good runner, just too heavy for light duty work. The Bx really wasnt stuck bad, just made for some good laughs.

I saw a thread somewhere about someone drilling new holes on the arms of the 3pt to get more lift for the backblade. Has anyone here done this? Adjusting the top link constantly will surely get to be a pain fast.

After one ride on my machine the father in law (recently retired) is thinking about a BX1860 now lol.

My new BX2360 was delivered on Friday, and it is the first SCUT I have ever driven. I LOVE the smooth power steering and the hydraulics are faster than I thought they would be.

1* I operate some very large equipment for a living, including 345 Cat excavators and 988 Cat loaders

1*Only someone with skill /experence could do this.
I've never operated large equipment;
Must explaine why I never had any of my BXs stuck .
