I've been watching out for heavy equipment auctions, not the Ebay crap, but real auctions. This past week there was a big one in Shreveport, LA that had a lot of equipment, trucks, and trailers. I managed to get a pretty nice deal on a, new to me, gooseneck trailer.
I called the manufacturer, gave them the VIN, and they were able to pull the build sheet on it.
Built in 2006 about 40 miles from my ranch
27' plus a 5' dovetail for a total length of 32 feet
Tandem duals with upgraded heavy duty 10,000 pound axles (larger bearings and hubs)
Upgraded 4" brakes
Upgraded springs
Full torsion tube
Good tires
All the lights work except for 2 side markers
Good strong brakes
Good deck with 1/3rd of it replaced with steel
All in all a pretty nice trailer which I picked up for a nice deal; $4,200.
