When tilling one of my food plots a couple months ago I ran into some rocks that were rather bothersome. So today I decided to go up there and try to remove them. "Up there", meaning on the top of my hill. Some of the locals that have seen my place think that I'm nuts for climbing that hill with a 4-wheeler much less a tractor. But I have some pretty big stones and I needed to get those rocks out of there!! :)

Going up.

The rocks. For comparison, my grapple is 48" wide.

You see rocks; I see building material for a wall, fire ring, etc.

Those rocks would make a beautiful wall. All I've got is big round ones with few flat spots..

Great pics, BTW!

Got rocks? We grow them here.

Doesn't seem to matter how many I pry from the ground, there are always more that pop up shortly after I pass by. This is why I cannot keep a decent set of blades on my mower.

You're right, those rocks are piled up there for a reason. My boss already has plans for them. Here is some of her work. Thanks for the comments.

When you are blessed (?) with as many as I have, I see them as gulley fillers.

Getting the tractor UP the hill is one thing....How did you carry those nice stones DOWN the hill? (not in the grapple I assume?)

How else would he get them down?

I suspect the trail isn't as nasty as it appears though I'd be seriously considering using the hoe to widen it. It never ceases to amaze me what my little machine will climb over and through with a load on. But when I go climbing, I am crawling at snail speeds with almost no momentum. Works exceptionally well.

That trail looks like an old logging trail you might have seen a mule pulling a log or two down.
