Here you go. I have an F250 extended cab long bed 4X4 with the Powerstroke diesel. Can I live without 4x4. yep probably could. I just like it, I could afford it so I bought.

You wanna know what's really funny? When the anti SUV crowd starts ranting about the environment suffering because of the SUVs and how they are soooooooooo dangerous, they never mention trucks like mine. It is big, it guzzles diesel like there is no tomorrow, and in a head on collision would destroy most of the little go karts people call cars on the road today.

I did hear on the radio the other day that someone (sorry, I just don't remember who it was) did a study and have found that regular exposure to diesel fuel/fumes causes cancer.

I also heard today that there has been a lawsuit filed in New York (I think ... maybe not ...) claiming that Happy Meals target young kids to eat high fat food and that is why this one teenager is now 5' 9" and weighs 280. Fortunately for the lawyer, the kids parents can't possibly be expected to be nutritionists now can they!

Anyway, the point is, they're comin' after your diesel (that is why I bought a new F150 gasser today .... just kidding .... I bought a F150 gasser because I couldn't afford the F250 Diesel. BUT I SURE WANTED ONE !!!!)

Uhmmm ... well ... uhmmm ... I do drive quite a bit in Houston ... Dallas/Ft Worth is almost as bad .... but if you want BAD .... I've got to vote for Chicago !!!!!!!!

Of course .... if we travel north, you can gain a real appreciation for how bad it can get and drive in Toronto.

Really, any of the crowded interstate highways are terrible. I really pity the poor guys trying to make a living driving rigs .... having to deal with all the folks they share the road with .... /w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif

And then there's the real terrorist threat to America .... traffic engineers ... at least the ones in Michigan. Trained to inflict the maximum amount of pain to the maximum amount of people for the maximum amount of time. But that's another story.

Maybe I've been lucky in LA .... driving south from LAX has never been a problem .... oh wait ... now I remember a trip into Hollywood one night .... hmmm .... I may just have to change my mind if that sort of traffic is common there.
