Well, unless you know something my dealer and this guy who owns one does not, I believe you are mistaken.

Well I guess I do. There is no intercooler on a L5740. If it is a cab model it will have an air conditioner condenser and a hydraulic oil cooler but that model does not have an intercooler. A intercooler is a radiator that cools the air used for combustion in the engine. I think we have a misuse of terms here.:thumbsup:

As another 5740hstc owner, I concur with the fact that this model does not cool the intake air for the turbocharger.

Oh great. This is now going to require a bit more research on my part. As a future owner of one of these fine models (still deciding between the two), I need to know what I am (or not) paying for and how knowledgeable my potential dealer is.

Do not count on your tractor dealer for much technical info on tractors. If
you do not do your own research, you Will be misinformed, and often, sorry.

You are taking the right steps by going straight to the manufacturer's
data, and to TBN.

In my limited personal experience (about 20 different modern CUTs), the
L5740HST+ is the finest CUT I have ever operated (independent of price).
But don't forget to try out other brands.
