Learned to double clutch on an old bug around age 12... little did I know it would come in handy with Model A Fords and learning to clutch and park in the church parking lot would become useful when I started washing cars at the dealership.

I taught my niece and nephew driving around the farm around age 10... and we started with a 4spd F150.

I don't think any of their friends can drive sticks...

We (me, and my two daughters) owned three bugs, and Sharn Jean had a Chrysler Cordoba. Even today the floor of my garage has oil stains in both the front and the rear. Recall going to a VW car show; one guy had a really nice custom, even had mirrors underneath to show the detailing...Some wise guy looked at the mirrors, and said to the owner... "What are those...oil catchers?"

She was far from the only star who made her mark in that magazine. Raquel Welch is the first one who comes to mind...
of course I only happened to notice it while I was reading the articles.

Bit like I went to see a Swedish **** film, I don't speak Swedish so it was all lost on me......

I added era in hose thermostat in my 1930 Model A and I think it runs better with even temp... sure beats having to use winter radiator flaps.

My Model T Fords and horseless carriage are thermo syphon with no thermostat.

Popular Model A heater mounts on exhaust manifold and really does work.

About half my VW have the gas option... the only one I drive is the VW Thing

I dont suppose theres a simple explanation for thermo syphon or is that a made up term.........

I believe many of the smaller yanmar tractors used that system till quite recently,
as several early model tractors and many hit and miss engines when they went to radiators.

Interesting they finally figured out how to circulate water in a motor without a water pump, wonder if adding coolant changes the thermosyphon system.....

Moss again to the rescue...

Model T survival in addition to millions made is simple construction using quality materials.

Don't need a battery in a Model T and mechanical brakes can never go bad in storage like "Juice" brakes" and no water pump...

Remember touring home in the Model A down from the Sierra-Nevada mountains back to the SF Bay Area and one car lost a fan blade...

Pull to the side of the road and pulled the fan hub and fan belt and did the 150 miles home without incident...

Fan almost gets in the way at highway speed and water pump not needed as Thermosiphon kept coolant circulating...

On a side note the car ran smooth and quiet without the air noise or harmonics from fan.
