Puts me in an awkward spot. I was kind of refering to Lord (removed).

Me to I looked up the word scholar and to be honest I think (removed) is more qualified then me especially in his english vocabulary, even his translators fit the definition better then me......
(Scohlar>a specialist in a particular branch of study, especially the humanities; a distinguished academic.)

My company truck has 4 doors, a 6 1/2 foot bed, and is perfect for what I need. I spend more time off the pavement than most people. Just because it doesn't ride like a buckboard doesn't mean it isn't a truck, plus it will haul more than a 3/4 ton from 20 years ago.
I had a 98 F150 with extended cab and 6' bed, it was also good for what I needed, had the rear 3rd half door, I could still carry my kids and atv. I'm not sure but think if I had a trailer at the time it would haul my L3400 tractor, it's long gone now due to calcium or slat on roads....

I carry my work gear, rain gear, spare clothes sometimes a passenger, and my dog, and still carry my ATV or snowsled.

Had both a Wagoneer and Jeep Commando.

The Commando had V6 (Buick) and Wagoneer 350 (Buick?)

Both were stock... didn't care much for Commando...

Enjoyed the Wagoneer very much and although heavy it was a pleasure to drive.

Also had a 1976 Jeep Cherokee... and a CJ5

Out of all of them the 1970 Wagoneer was my favorite.

I had a Commando and friends with a Wagoneer. I thought the view forward was poor in both for off-road use.

The various CJ's and the Utility Wagon and Jeep Truck had better offroad visibility.

When I worked at the little airport in Niles, MI in the winter of '79-80, they had a yellow Jeepster convertible with no top and a snowplow on it for plowing out the T-hangers and tight spaces the bigger dumptruck with plow couldn't get. Talk about cold!

Off-road yes for outback... CJ

The Wagoneer had room for supplies and family and secure and also did a good job towing...

Of course gas mileage nothing to write home about which explains a lot of things on how we got to today.

My f350 is 4 door, full sized king cab. Has 8 foot bed. Diesel. Hauls anything off road or on. Needs a 23 point turn to turn it around on a road.....but its a truck
