How can any individual REALLY have any clue what's truly going on? It's all BIG money, politics and manipulation on a grand scale, I'm not sure the world has ever seen anything quite like it..

People were so much taller in those days. Now people are so short they can barely see over the side rail of a pickup.

It was easy to load a pickup by reaching over the sides for most people..

Don't new trucks offer tailgate ladders and running biased options?

Had a Chevy Luv... well actually two of them and drove then a lot and later sold each for a profit.

When I retired I came to the farm every day. We didn't live on the farm then. Six miles away. In the evenings my wife would ask about my day and what I did? I'd tell her in small comments as men do. She would want details. She would ask who I saw today? No one. Who did you talk to today? No one. No phone calls? No. No Texts? No. That was extremely hard for her to comprehend. When I told her those days were the best she began to worry about my mental state.

When we were building our house here I was visiting with my large farmer friend about the build. He said "where are you going to go to escape when you move to the farm?" I had no idea how prophetic that question was......

An old rancher told me the secret to being married was a lot of land and cows.


Because you always had a reason to be away from home.

Not to get too far off but there is a thing as too much communication... I see spouses going ballistic not getting a call/text on the way home...

It would seem to those so inclined the routine requires no text...

I remember summers on bikes heading out and only being expected to be home by dinner...

I guess the modern term is Free Range kids.
