Grapple cylinder is too strong

Triangle end has giving me no problems
My twisting action was here in the pic.

Now I see, all this time I have been looking at the tips of the teeth/jaws in the first photo that looks like the tip had been broken off. Thanks for showing the damage and straightening me out.

IMHO, I would run a separate valve. That way, there are no return lines, nothing hanging out by the cylinder. Adjust your pressure from a $70 log splitter type valve. Probably the most economical way to go too.

What valve are you using to operate the grapple? Do you have PB on your FEL valve?

I am using electric over hydraulics for the grapple.

Since you have a good valve setup now, I would just add the relief valve and take the relief hose from the relief valve, and feed it into a tee at the tank port of the electric valve, or FEL tank port. You will only need a short hose.

I beefed up the grapple attachment point with 1/2" plate and now all is well.
