Was wanting to get a grapple for my JD 4720. I can get a really nice used Frontier av20e with dual lids from dealer for 2400. Seems like a lot guys on here brag on the wicked grapples. A new 60inc wicked grapple is $3650. Only drawback I see to the frontier is that it weighs 790lbs to the wickeds 400lbs. Any advice? Is the wicked worth the extra $?

Check out the Homestead Implements Pinnacle series as well as the Catawba grapples. I wouldn't give one red cent to EA for a wicked grapple after what they did to their customers. EA isn't the only outfit making very stout and low weight grapples.

This one only weighs 460# and is a little larger. Catawba has excellent customer service from what I have seen.

My EA grapple has been an absolute pleasure to own(EA pine rake has been just as good). I bought it before the shtf and didn't pay nearly what they cost today. I haven't researched options in quite awhile but I'm glad I bought it when I did. I've got about 80hrs of use so far and its still like new. Mostly using it for pine related activities. What's your loader lift capacity? If you can lift 2,000lbs do you want to loose 800lbs lifting implement? Makes a big difference if you are trying to lift logs off a trailer. Rocks? Moving brush not so much a problem as it means you need to take smaller bites and take more trips.

Express steel and tomahawlk attachments both have 60in grapples for under $2500. Both are also USA made and I believe aboit 400lbs for the double lid.

66 inch Light duty Blue Diamond grapple . Around 450 lbs. SSQA. Just another option for you. Cheers.

I have one I built in my shop that is about 50 wide, single lid, and a Skid Steer Grapple Buckets | Stout Buckets 84 wide with double lids. Any grapple is better than no grapple.
